The other day, my nurse friend posted on Facebook that she wasn’t feeling well. From what she said, she had a raging sinus infection. She’d been okay when she was here so I wondered where and how she came down with it.
She hadn’t posted for several days. I sent her an ecard. This morning, I had a private message from her. She had gotten so sick mid-week that she had gone to the ER. Diagnosis: pneumonia. No wonder she felt so bad! Still feeling weak, she wanted to put off my B12 injection. I told her I’d attempt to do it myself.
I geared everything up and was able to fill the syringe. There were a couple of drops that escaped but it was still well over 1 ml. I stuck the needle into my leg, pushed the plunger and it was over. Not bad at all! I still have my tremor but it isn’t as pronounced as it was when I was taking Reglan.
Cuz had texted last night that they would be home for a few days beginning today. I looked out and, sure enough, there was the van. I heard the weedeater going later and went out. She shut it down and we visited briefly. I came back inside while she tried to get it going again. I don’t know if she was able to do it and I felt bad that I was the cause of the problem.
I was eating my second meal of the day when she came in this afternoon. We visited while I ate and she said she might be back over later but that hasn’t happened.
It’s already after 9 and tomorrow is going to be busy. This is where I fold my tent and silently steal away.
Congrats on the successful injection!
Thank you!
Ouch! I’m a coward!
I usta be but I got over it.
