Last night, I didn’t take my cough medicine before I went to get ready for bed. I didn’t even think about it. After all, I haven’t been coughing as much. That’s been my reminder most of the time. Since that was the case, I decided I’d do without. What better test to see how I’m really doing. BIG MISTAKE.
About 2 o’clock this morning, I went to the bathroom. I started coughing. I went back to bed coughing and hacked and coughed for the next several minutes. It was a bit late (early?) to think about taking a dose then so I rode it out and finally went back to sleep. When I woke up, I had another episode and have repeated it several times. Not fun. You can bet your sweet bippy (does that show my age?) I’ll take it tonight.
I’ve been fairly useless. There are a few things I’ve accomplished but I can’t brag much. The power went off for around 15 minutes. Not long, so I can’t use that as an excuse. Using my cell phone with my WiFi, I called the power company but they already knew it. Guess it’s that smart meter that told them.
DD posted a beautiful view of the Rockies yesterday. The most recent picture was of waiting for a session to start. I’d hate to have all that outside and be stuck inside! I do hope she’s able to get out and enjoy the surroundings.
My cousin called to touch base with me. One of my friends called from Costco and she’s getting me a box of Keitt mangoes! I told her to get some firm ones because I probably won’t be able to pick them up until the weekend. My doctor’s nurse called to get info for Humana. The phone’s been busy even if I haven’t!
It didn’t rain or if it did I didn’t notice. I never did make it out to see how much was in the gauge from yesterday. Genese has put her creativity to work and crafted a board in honor of the monsoon season.
The letters that spell “umbrella” are all worth 99 points. The rest are a big fat 1. The “U” at the bottom right is for “umbrella”. That’s what Genese told me. Before I saw her note, I’d figured out the letter values.
I haven’t been doing too well lately though I did win the last game.
The name of the person involved in the game from a month and a half ago has been deleted. She hasn’t given me permission to show her name on my blog. I guess the game will eventually disappear.
My transmitter for the Tek popped and crackled today until I couldn’t use it. That’s very disappointing because it’s something that was really handy. I’m going to see if it can be replaced. I’ve had it for about four months. Surely it should last longer than that. The audiologist said the battery in the transmitter is getting weak. There’s no way I can see of replacing the battery, either. We’ll see how long it takes for Siemens to reply to my message I sent them.
Twinkle must be fed and I need to go off to the Land of Nod. Goodnight, all!
