This afternoon late, I checked the thermometer in the kitchen. Indoors, it was 79 degrees. Outdoors, 80. When I took the compost out, the air was so heavy I could hardly breathe. As much as I’ve been coughing, it made me feel worse.
I have gotten more done today than yesterday. That still doesn’t have to mean much. Friday is usually my laundry day but I went ahead and washed clothes today.
My cousin called with news of the funeral arrangements plus she posted it on Facebook.
Last night, I slept better than I have for a long time. I’d bought some liquid melatonin weeks ago but hadn’t tried it. The last tablets I bought have something in them that make me itch. There’s one gone out of the bottle and I haven’t taken any more. As bad as I felt, I figured I’d need something so I braved the liquid. I was a bit leery of it, not having any experience with it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I slept well and woke without the groggy feeling I sometimes get.
Genese has been having a lot of pain which wasn’t helped by her leg being put in an awkward position this morning. I’d been concerned because she was being so quiet. I “nudged” her on Wordscraper and she finally responded. In spite of being on pain meds, she is giving me what for, score-wise.
This is one of three boards we are currently playing.
My sisters are putting me to shame again. They are both working circles around me. I’ve got to get in gear.
There was some loud thunder this afternoon but if it rained, I didn’t know it. The humidity had to come from somewhere.
Twinkle should gradually learn that after she’s had her B-12, she gets fed. I hope she gets the idea. Chasing her is no fun—especially since she can go places I can’t.
It’a almost 9 and I hear the rumble of thunder. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day so I’m going to call it and go to bed.
