When I went to bed last night, I put the earthing pad on my chest. I don’t know if that’s what caused me to cough or not but cough, I did. It was a very productive several minutes. No more detail than that, I promise. It wasn’t pretty but it’s necessary to clear my lungs.
The sun was just beginning to make it light in the eastern sky when I had to get up to go to the bathroom. It was much too early to get up so I went back to bed and covered my head except for my nose. There was no way I intended to sleep as late as I did but I didn’t wake until 7 o’clock.
I’ve been behind all day. I did feel well enough to take a shower instead of a bath. Since I had the other Mother’s Day soap on the tub, I unwrapped the second bar and put it in the shower. It isn’t as dark as the Iceland Mint and it smells more “soapy”.
The ingredients are the same as the other bar except this one has “our blend of pure essential oils” and rosemary extract.
The UPS I’ve had all these months finally got put to the test but not for very long. The lights went off about 9 o’clock and stayed off almost 20 minutes. During that time, I never lost the Internet and I was able to call City Hall with my cell phone and GrooVe IP to find out what was going on. I was told that almost the whole mountain was without power and they were working on it. That wasn’t much of a test, I know, but it did what it was supposed to.
I was getting something out of the fridge today and remembered what the older produce man at Bi-Lo said. Part of their ad strategy is “Walter”, a person who is supposed to source quality fruits and veggies for the supermarkets. I was asking about an item I couldn’t find in the refrigerated section and was told what they’d been sent wasn’t up to par. I said, “So Walter let you down.” The man exploded. “WHO’S Walter, anyway?? If I was him, I wouldn’t want MY name on this stuff out here!” A good recommendation? I doubt it. I had to admit I didn’t know who Walter is, either. If I had my way, we’d have the good markets like they have in Seattle but we don’t.
It was cloudy much of the day so I wasn’t able to get any sun until this afternoon. That was just as well because it was pretty hot earlier. I went out for 10 minutes and checked on my garden stuff. The garlic has two buds and one of them is so heavy it’s bent over.
Not much has been accomplished today. I was able to get rid of another fly (#4) and #5 took its place. I have no idea where they’re coming from. If I did, I’d be better able to stop them. I did rebound for 25 minutes. I was trying something different which didn’t work out so well. I had to go back to what I’ve been doing.
It sounded as if something heavy fell outside this evening. I went out and walked all around and couldn’t see anything. The only thing I noticed is that the air conditioning unit is kind of listing to one side. I wondered if what I heard was it giving up the ghost but it’s been chugging right along.
Supper started with another sorry mango. It was full of those fibrous places champagne mangos get when they’ve been stressed during the growing process. What I wouldn’t give for some Ciruli Brothers!
Twinkle has had her time on my lap this evening. She hid when she saw me coming with the B-12 and kind of ran when I found her. She knows it doesn’t do a whole lot of good and I will prevail.
