Raisin’ a Stink

After a good night’s sleep, I was feeling better. A pity that didn’t translate into smelling better, too. It wasn’t quite as bad as yesterday but it was plenty bad enough. I did my body test with the Wii (I had gained a bit more) and drank my water. Quiet time came next and that was all I could handle without taking a bath.

My Melaleuca soap had been put to the test and was somewhat successful. It was the occasion to call in reinforcements and what better than mint? I unwrapped one of the bars of soap DD had sent me for Mother’s Day.

Iceland Mint

Peppermint leaf, rosemary & patchouli is what it says on the wrapper. The ingredients are: organic saponified oils of olive, coconut, soybean, castor, hemp babassu, shea butter; blend of pure essential oils; organic ground peppermint leaves; rosemary extract.

Now, if that doesn’t do the trick, I don’t know what will.

There was a knock on the door about 1 p.m. TT. It was my cousin-in-law asking if I would follow him to town later this week. Seems his beast of a truck has foot problems. He had paid for work that evidently didn’t get done and he’s taking it in. Sure, I’d do it. I went out later to make sure if the time he was talking about was his or mine. He showed me the problem and it certainly does look suspect.

I’d planned to get out in the sun some today. The time I visited had to count for it because I didn’t want to overdo it. I toured my garden places and munched on parsley. My strawberry plants are really thick. I’ll have to get rid of some of the leaves later. A frost was predicted for last night but there wasn’t any here. There is a little volunteer tomato plant coming up and it hadn’t bit the dust. Frost wouldn’t hurt anything else I have in the boxes.

Yesterday and today, both, I rebounded for 25 minutes. I’m doing more of a moderate bounce rather than anything really strenuous. I’m trying to get back to what I was doing before but it’s going to take some time.

Twinkle is on stakeout. Either she is hallucinating and thinks she sees a mouse or there’s really one that has dared to come in the house. Earlier, she was hanging around like she wanted her B-12. I got the bottle and drew up the dose. She made the pretense of running away from me but I caught her easily and gave it to her. She’s kind of a sham.

I’ve had to cry “UNCLE” re: the SSNET work. I’m being expected to do things far beyond my capacity or current comprehension. For now, I’ve been given a reprieve but I’m sure it won’t last.

There’s more water to drink and then it’s time to hit the hay.
