I was planning to get to bed early.

At least as early as I did last night. I turned my light off at 9:40. It’s already 9:51.

I slept very soundly. I think it was because I had such easy to digest food all day.

Since I didn’t have to make an appearance by a certain time, I took it easy getting everything ready to go. Having the veggies all bagged made it a lot quicker. I blended up Matt’s Dip and chunked up the watermelon. I fixed a banana/mango/spinach smoothie for my lunch because the bananas were all past the eating-out-of-hand stage.

24 ozzies OJ
28 ozzies banana/organic blueberry/buttercrunch (also organic) smoothie

The last young coconut
2.5 quarts watermelon
30 ozzies banana/mango/spinach smoothie

40 ozzies “chili”
Large salad of romaine, Vidalia onion, cucumber, tomato, dressed with Matt’s Dip
Coconut bacon

When I got to the church, I parked close to the entrance of the building where we have our dinners. I hauled out my offerings to take in and got a strange look from a woman standing outside. A friend I’ve known since I was 14 went inside with me. I didn’t notice there was no food lining the counters in the kitchen. She said yesterday she had tried to call me both at work and at home. I didn’t know what was going on and asked if something was wrong. She hesitated and said the fellowship meal had been canceled. I guess she hadn’t thought it was really important to let me know. She mentioned later she’d thought about e-mailing me but didn’t. I ended up giving most of the food to the person who had agreed to invite any of the guests to her house. She invited me, too, but I told her I wanted to come home and EAT. I stay mostly for the fellowship because no one else brings raw food except for the occasional salad. I’d spent quite a bit of money on what I’d taken and brought Matt’s Dip home. I should have kept the other stuff and given her that because I definitely don’t need all those nuts. It was aggravating but I forgave my friend. Now, I need to forget. This may be my last attempt to join in the food, fun, and fellowship, as an old lady in Nebraska used to say.

The bulletin secretary has resigned. Someone asked me if I would be taking it back and I answered with a resounding NO.

It was another beautiful day with few clouds in the sky. I waited almost too late to go out and get some sun. I hadn’t checked the outside and was in the yard before I noticed my neighbor and a strange man working on her lawn tractor. He looked a little startled and I tried to keep my towel in front of me until I got out of sight. I put in my 30 minutes, folded my tent, and silently stole away, wrapping myself in my towel.

I enjoyed my food but the salad was more than I could handle. I didn’t eat the last half cup or so.

People on the forum have had such a difficult time understanding proper food combining, I’d posted a chart. Then they had problems with that because it included foods a raw foodist doesn’t eat. Tonight, I revised it and posted the revision so it wouldn’t have anything but fruit and non-starchy veggies. I think some of the members are getting the idea I’m stepping on their toes but they need to know the basic principles unless they are going to eat only mono-meals.

I’ve been posting on the forum in between times and it’s much later than it was when I started this. Better hang it up and go to bed! Good night!
