I give up. It’s getting late and the forum has gone wacko.

I’ve been trying off and on for ages to post on a particular Members Only topic and it keeps giving me a 404 not found error. It will let me post now and then but not consistently. The only thing I get more consistently than I want to is the 404. The forum, itself, has been down part of the day. Seems I had duplicate directories but, in the process of getting rid of one of them, things have gotten messed up. AND I DIDN’T DO IT THIS TIME! I want that understood.

I was up in time to do my exercises through the 60 second pushup.

30 ozzies grapefruit juice
40 ozzies banana/romaine smoothie

Didn’t eat any

On the way home
3 bananas

A young coconut (part of the meat went into the freezer–at least I have a use for it now)
A pint of strawberries
The last two kiwifruit
The last mango (sounds kind of like The Last Tango)
A tomato
Some coconut bacon

I had left work shortly before 1 so I could get to my doctor’s appointment by 1 o’clock. The clinic is on my walking circuit so it didn’t take long to get there. I waited a few minutes before being called in. Then the nurse did the preliminaries and I was shown into the exam room. I was antsy to get going so I’m sure time passed much more slowly than it would have otherwise. The nurse practitioner was the one to examine me. She’s always curious about how I feel, how I’m doing, etc., etc. She looked at my lab work from December and was saying, “Excellent! Excellent! Everything is excellent!” until she got to my TSH and her eyes popped. I told her I’d been cutting my pills in half and that’s why it was elevated. She wanted to know what I’d been doing since and I told her I’d gone back on a whole one every day. She listened to my heart, my lungs, my carotid arteries, palpated my thyroid, lymph nodes, etc., and pronounced me, once again, excellent. She ordered a TSH which I will have done Monday. As soon as we were through, I was gone.

Today was Return Day. I am tired of buying produce that’s sorry. I took tomatoes back to two places and told the third about the pineapple I had to toss. I got more tomatoes, credit for the second batch, and another pineapple.

I wasn’t able to pick up the produce I’d ordered. I’ll get it Monday. I did get a hen & chicken. Mother had one on her front porch that was huge. I wish I’d gotten some of it but I didn’t when I had the chance.

After I had been home for awhile, I got in touch with the person who is having the guest meal tomorrow. The menu is haystacks, which makes me thankful that I eat raw food. I won’t have to eat the mess and I won’t have to apologize for not liking it. There are definite advantages to eating the way I do. Other than being healthy and feeling good. I asked what she wanted me to bring. She didn’t seem to think of anything so I offered to make some salsa. She was a little uncertain about saying okay. Now, I won first place with the first salsa I ever made and what I make now is even better. I should have kept my mouth shut but I didn’t. I’ll take some tomatoes, too. I got the salsa made except for the tomatoes and I like it if it doesn’t have to sit too long. I didn’t have any jalapenos that were good so I put in red pepper powder. Not much, but, hopefully, enough.

I got the main part of the house presentable. Not perfect, but presentable. And I finished the cleaning before sundown. I don’t have all the dishes done but they can sit in the sink tonight.

It’s definitely cooler tonight than it has been. I don’t need the a/c for sure. I haven’t used it, anyway, but there have been some nights, lately, when it would have felt good.

On the way into the driveway, I noticed that the tulips and thrift are blooming. The redbuds are in full bloom and dogwoods are showing green that will soon be turning white. It’s a gorgeous time of year but it’s coming too early. Tomorrow is the last day of March. We could still have snow! And the apple tree is flowering.

I’ll see my oldest and his tomorrow!

It won’t be long until I’ll have to be up and going again so I’d better stop this and say, “Happy Sabbath, y’all, and good night!”
