I have got to get to bed soon.

I’ve been adding products to my storefront and it takes almost forever on dialup. Drat this dialup! I know it’s better than nothing but smoke signals would be about as quick. And I’d be getting exercise, too.

Today was vision therapy day. I got it all in except I trimmed a couple of minutes off.

Food was:

28 ozzies grapefruit juice
40 ozzies banana/mango/romaine smoothie (one of the best I’ve ever made)
32 ozzies banana/mango/blueberry smoothie (It was supposed to have spinach in it, too, but the spinach was going bad. I’d gotten it at the organic grocery so I’ll tell them about it when I go back.) (The smoothie was delicious and a most interesting color.)
2 pickling cucumbers
Kim chee (both kinds)
Half a large honeydew
A big bowl of Fred’s Mom’s Salad

I walked a total of 30 minutes and had my lunch outside. I finished my smoothie in 15 minutes which gave me another 15 to just laze in the sun. It was 75 degrees and lovely!

A new helipad is being built beside the hospital. It’s huge! It would make a really nice foundation for a yurt.

When I got home, I got out my haircutting scissors and had at my hair. Not a lot but I took about a half inch off the back and sides. The hairdresser did a beautiful job the first time she cut my hair but she’s been leaving the back quite long and layering it close to my head up a couple of inches since then. I’m trying to let it grow long enough so she’ll see the length I want it. I don’t know how to explain it to her. Even though I was a hairdresser, myself, at one time, it’s hard to get it across. And after the hair is gone, it’s gone for a month or two.

I’ve had exception to the exceptions e-mailed me yesterday. I can see both sides, having been there, but I’ll have to side with VW who maintains that this is a lifestyle. It encompasses so much more than diet. When a person doesn’t burden the old bod with heavy cooked food, he/she is moved to move. I can remember not exercising at all when I first started eating raw food but a few days later, I had to. I had so much more energy than I ever had in my whole life that I felt like I was going to burst if I didn’t do something to burn some of it. I’ve changed what I put on my face and body in the way of soaps and shampoos, creams, and lotions. My days of using commercial deodorants are over. The care of my teeth has changed. I even wash my clothes differently. And the list of changes could go on and on but I don’t have time tonight. I don’t think a mere diet could include all that.

I read for a little while last night but I think I’ll drift off into the Land of Nod as soon as my head hits the pillow. I took pictures of my pillowcase this morning but I haven’t had time to do anything with them yet.

I need to start some files to oploading so I’ll quit this and say good night!

“When a person doesn’t burden the old bod with heavy cooked food, he/she is moved to move.”

I totally agree with this statement you have made. I experienced this myself the last time when i was vegan. I feel that I just have to do something and missing a jog around my block would make me feel uneasy. With all the complexities and wonders of our body, one will realised that this body is created for movement. I hope from my renewed desire to be raw vegan again, i can start again to move and dance with joy and celebration for life. 😛

A quick question Tommie! After starting raw, how long was it that you could give up wearing deoderant?

Keep posting on the forum, prana! The group there will support you in your goal to eat 811rv!

I guess I don’t know, Joan. The fact is, I use a salt crystal under my arms every morning. I started using salt when I went to visit my son and his family for a weekend and forgot to take any deo for the b.o. with me. That was the October 29, 2006, post.
