I got to bed about 10:30 last night but I won’t get there that early (?) tonight. I washed the sheets and hung them on the line and I still have to make up my bed. I put them outside for two reasons. It was a beautiful sunshiny day and my dryer has quit. I washed towels, too, and I would rather dry them but there was no way. My daughter and SIL will just have to deal with them.
I woke in the early morning again but wasn’t awake long this time. I went back to sleep and made it to a little after 7. I measured and everything was the same except I lost a half inch in my upper arms. That’s okay if they are firming up. I’ve been doing strength training with my arms so maybe they are getting more muscular and less flabby.
Exercises included EVERYTHING!
Breakfast was OJ, and a four banana/two mango/spinach smoothie. Later on, I had some kim chee and a young coconut plus a persimmon. I was going to put coconut in my smoothie and I have some in the fridge but it’s lost in the crowd.
I started in on the house and only stopped to eat or go to the bathroom except for when I went outside and got in the sun for 15 minutes. I wore my Awesome camisole and biking shorts. The camisole had looked so small that I didn’t think I’d be able to get into it but I did. I got a medium.
I’ve cleaned my bathroom, essentially, from top to bottom and side to side. I decided I would try vinegar and water to see how it does and it’s amazing! I mixed it approximately 3:1 and used that to clean the window and mirrors plus my sink and the counter. Oh, I cleaned the outer parts of the commode with it, too, and used straight vinegar on the shower. My pick had a buildup of Stuff on it so I put it in the sink with hot water and vinegar and the Stuff came right off. I used Scrubbing Bubbles on Twinkle’s sink and about choked on the smell. The vinegar didn’t bother me at all. Plus it’s easy on the hands.
My daughter called and our talk was brief because I told her I was cleaning. After we hung up, I called my daughter-in-law to find out what they are going to do about Christmas. We’re going to go down there the day after. I tried to call my other DIL but was never able to get in touch with her. Then I called the Asian market and ordered four cases of coconut. My daughter plans to take two of them back with her since they are just a little over half what she has to pay. The man was very pleased when I doubled what I usually get.
For a snack, I had a couple of comice pears. While I was eating them, my friend called from the nursing home. We had a short visit.
Lunch (a late one) was a four banana/two pear/green curly leaf lettuce. Then I had a potato. I think I had something else but I don’t remember.
My calories were still insufficient so I drank some more OJ and that’s it for today.
My sister, Mary Jane, is a very talented author and poetess. She wrote the following for her son who works at Dick’s Sporting Goods. She’s given me permission to post it here. By way of explanation for those who might not know–from Black Friday on, it’s pretty much chaos and it only gets worse the closer it gets to Christmas.
T’was the week before Christmas and on every aisle
the customers waited with nary a smile.
Then from the back room came a good-looking guy,
who smiled as he looked the crowd right in the eye.
“Who’s next?” he called out, exuding good cheer,
with a happy demeanor and feeling no fear.
Like stampeding cattle forward they rushed,
and the poor helpless clerk in a moment was crushed.
Now o’er his resting place is this epitaph fixed
“The poor fellow perished by working at Dick’s.”
I posted on the forums that I might not be evident this week but I’d still blog. I’ve fulfilled that promise so I’ll quit.
