There was no time to exercise this morning. As soon as I saw the clock, I knew I was in trouble. I sprang from my bed and got started on the day.
I drained the kim chee, rinsed it, put it back in the crockpot, mixed in the ginger and chili powder mixture, and covered it with brine. I put the plastic bag with brine back in, covered the opening with plastic wrap, and set the lid on top. And now I wait. It’s supposed to smell strong but it doesn’t yet. It may tomorrow but it doesn’t today.
Breakfast was a smoothie of three bananas, 1.5 pears, and half a bunch of spinach.
It was a cloudy day but warm for November so I did three laps. The battery in my Micro was dead. I didn’t get to listen to Dr. D. but it was pleasant just to walk and listen to the noises around me.
When I got back to my office, I had three kiwifruit and a large tangerine. Lunch was a smoothie of three bananas, one large pear, and about a cup of cherries. It was pretty and pretty good. A little on the sweet side. It needed something to balance it out but that’s what I had.
I did another three laps.
I’ve been thinking about when I saw the lady in Wally World yesterday. When she commented on my weight loss, she said, “And you aren’t sick?” Why do people equate losing weight with being sick? No one ever says, “Are you sick?” if a person has packed on 50 extra pounds but he/she most likely is. I can’t recall ever seeing a diagnosis of “Unexplained weight gain” but I’ve seen “Unexplained weight loss”. And I can understand that there are many medical reasons for weight loss but I’ve just been eating good food and lots of it.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I left work and went over the mountain in search of clothes. The person I share an office with had gotten a nice jacket on sale so I went in search of one, too. On the way, I stopped at a used clothing store and found a beautiful Etienne Aigner jacket for $10. It’s a little on the snug side, but, with the way things are going…Then I went on to the other store and got the aforementioned jacket and some tops. And now my shopping is finished. If only I can figure out how to take up my slacks. Take up the slack in my slacks? Heh-heh.
I killed a coconut when I got home, then I had some tomatoes with Tajin and some kim chee. I made a salad of romaine, tomato, and a cucumber (hopefully I have enough food to do me without having to go by any produce places for awhile). I dressed it with lime juice, sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, agave nectar and EVOO! OOH NOOOO!
And now I’m going to go to bed and try to get up in time to exercise in the morning.
Good night, sleep tight!
