I’m multi-tasking. I’m listening to a teleconference with Dr. D. and writing this. I’m afraid that I’m going to get to bed too late unless I get this done soon. My class is in the morning so I really should already be asleep.
I got up early enough to do all of my exercises–even the NT and HR! Tomorrow is my vision therapy morning.
Breakfast was a banana/mango/romaine smoothie. It was so big that I had to take part of it to work with me.
When I got into the office, the staff met me with the news that the son of one of our favorite doctors was killed last night in a motorcycle accident. He was my daughter’s age. It’s so sad.
The mail person was backing up the materials management person so I had to back her up. I stopped and got some cucumbers, yellow tomatoes, and bananas.
I did three laps around the hospital/nursing home while I listened to the PHP. The weather was really nice. It’s supposed to turn cold tomorrow and rain. I know it has to come but it doesn’t make it any more inviting.
I had a cucumber for a mid-morning snack. Lunch was Apples with Snow. I made enough this time.
Later in the afternoon, I did another three laps/PHP listening.
Since I had the backup job, I took the mail to the post office. That let me leave work a half hour early.
Today was the coaches’ call. When I got home, I had a Thai banana and then I got busy and made some salsa. I got it done just in time to dial in. We were on the phone for right at an hour. I munched on the salsa while we talked. I hoped they couldn’t hear me chewing.
After the call was over, I made a big salad (I munched on a little rinsed kim chee in the meantime) of green curly leaf lettuce, tomato, and cucumber with Matt’s dip.
To go back to the Thai banana–the lady at the Asian market had tried to describe it to me but it was difficult. She said it wasn’t like a regular banana and it wasn’t. It had a very creamy texture and an almost apple-like flavor. It was really delicious. I’ll post pictures of them on the fruit/veggie page BUT NOT TONIGHT! They look a lot like the baby bananas, though not as “pretty”. They taste a whole lot better, though. I hope they have them again when I go back so I can get some more.
There is a storm going on in England where Dr. D. is and he got cut off. He’s back now.
I’m going to wind this up and finish listening to the teleconference. I may have to cut out early. It’s getting late. By my clock, it’s almost 10:30.
Have a wonderful night’s rest! Good night!
