It’s Day Two of the Green Cleanse and I’m doing fine. It took me awhile to get to sleep last night but that might be because I generally eat a heavier meal which tends to slow me down. I slept well once I got there, though.
I got up and piddled around and it got too late for me to do all of my exercises. I did everything but the NT and HR.
Breakfast was OJ and a banana/pear/romaine smoothie. It was right on the quart mark on my blender container. Break was a tangerine and a kiwi.
People about turn wrongside out when I take my lunch smoothie into the break room. It isn’t a pretty color but it’s tasty (bananas/blueberries/spinach) and it’s full of vitamins and minerals. I also had a pear and a cucumber. I brought the container home that I drink my smoothie out of and measured it. It holds just about a quart. That means that I had three quarts of green smoothies yesterday and not three and a half. If that’s of any consequence to anyone but me.
I worked on my budget and got it finished up. I don’t know that I’ll get everything I asked for but the administrator said she’d present it the way it is. She only had one question for me and that was about the hours in second shift differential. She wanted to make sure I wasn’t increasing the number of hours and I assured her I was just moving them. We are slowly expanding the number of hours that the staff is available. Fortunately, I have one employee who likes to work second.
When I left work, I had to stop and get the car filled up since it was about running on fumes. I had failed to put a new checkbook in my purse but the place I buy gas is local and the one I always frequent so he was glad to take care of it and let me pay for it tomorrow. (“I’ll gladly pay you Thursday for a hamburger today.”)
I headed down the mountain on the other side, stopping to check on Mother’s grave. It’s still there. I need to get the arrangement fixed and back on it.
Next, it was to the produce place for a box of oranges, then to a supermarket where I got a few things. Wal*Mart wasn’t overrun with good produce. They have small watermelons for $7 but I am skeptical about them this time of year, plus that’s an awful lot for what would amount to maybe a couple of servings. I got several things there, too, and came on home.
Supper was Swamp Soup–tomatoes, spinach, lemon juice, celery “salt”. I had three Campari tomatoes, too. The soup was yummy! I took pictures of it but I don’t have time to see if they are post-worthy or not. I need to get to bed. One thing that Tera pointed out was that I’ll need more rest during the cleanse.
Saying that, I’m going to get this out there and go get ready. Good night!
