Twinkle didn’t let me sleep in peace this morning. I’d given her venison last night and she only nibbled at it. She was campaigning for me to get up and give her something else but she is just going to have to suck it up and learn to like it. I finally threw that medallion away but she has another fresh one in her bowl. I’ll put it and her in the bathroom tonight and they can fight it out.
As is my custom, I didn’t exercise this morning. It’s the Day of Rest.
Breakfast was a little spare, too, because I had to play the organ. I had a small glass of OJ, half a mango, and a banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie.
Church was good but the kids didn’t help out today and that was a loss. The hymns were those that had me dancing on the pedals. Sometimes I wish I could pick the songs. I guess a challenge is good for me, though. The sanctuary was pretty much full. There were so many children for the children’s story that the front pew couldn’t hold them all. That’s nice to see.
When I got home, I had a tall glass of OJ to make up for this morning.
Then I made some “burgers” and spinach pesto stuffed mushrooms.
Those are baby ‘bellas. The “burgers” have baby ‘bellas in them, too. The mushrooms turn dark as they sit which gives the “burgers” the brown color.
Here is my supper, plated. I had what I consider a very small salad, a fraction of what I usually have. The “gravy” is cashew sauce with Braggs and onion powder
It was all very good, and a nice change. My favorite part of the meal was the salad. The other food is richer than what I’m used to.
I recorded and watched “Iron Chef” tonight. I don’t know what is so fascinating about it. They cook things that I never would have but I think it’s the purpose in everything they do that makes it interesting to see what they’ll come up with.
It’s two minutes past my bedtime so I’d better wind this up.
