I’m getting sleepy but this won’t take long.
I got up too late to exercise any of my body parts or my eyes. Breakfast was OJ and a banana/blueberry smoothie. Break was dates. Lunch was bananas and dates.
A former employee came to visit (the Food Police) and one of the nurses felt it was necessary to introduce me to her. I guess she thought she wouldn’t recognize me. She was joking but I suppose it shows that I’ve lost weight. The wife of one of the patients was talking to me and wanted to know when I was going to stop losing. I told her that I weighed 142 this morning. She had no idea that I weigh that much.
I was power walking up the hall and one of the people at the nurses’ station said, “Aren’t you supposed to be dragging by now?” I told her no, that if I drag at all, it’s at about 11:30 p.m. She was amazed. She said she’d been dragging all day. I told her that I used to but I don’t any more. Amazing what a change in diet can do.
When I got home, I had grapefruit juice, then a bowl of tomatoes. After that, I had a salad of romaine and Boston lettuce with some of Matt’s dip as a dressing. I wanted more dressing but I distracted myself long enough that the feeling went away. That wasn’t something I needed.
The quality of the romaine lettuce is been steadily going down. What I had tonight was tough and stringy and the heart was brown and disgusting. On the forum, I’ve asked if anyone else is getting romaine like that but it seems pretty dead today. Raspberry’s husband and three of their kids (they have seven) have been sick with a stomach virus. She seems to have escaped, though she’s been having a lot of cleaning to do.
I put my co-op order in yesterday and added some to it today. I won’t be getting any more pineapple. What I got was green as grass and very acid.
My calories were 1704, 8% fat and 7% protein.
I’m still waiting to hear from my sister-in-law. Maybe she’ll call me at work tomorrow.
Happy birthday, Aye Jaye! ILAGD!
