What a day today has been! I had one registrar on vacation and one in orientation. Then, the Blue Cross auditor was there and I had to get some things for her, last minute. It was a busy busy day and I didn’t get a whole lot of my own work done. PLUS, when I turned on the TV this morning, it sounded like “The Day After Tomorrow” and it rained buckets off and on all day. When I got off work, I went to a friend’s house and worked on her computer. It was a mess. I had to reinstall Windows, then install her software and drivers which added up to about a dozen CDs.
Breakfast was sunflower seeds, two bananas, and a plum. Lunch was a large salad, almonds, and watermelon. My friend had offered to pay me for working on the computer but I told her she couldn’t afford me–that I’d do it for nothing. She offered to fix me supper. I told her that I usually just eat fruit for supper. Toast? No. Popcorn? No. Nothing cooked. She had watermelon, cantaloupe, red seedless grapes, Bing cherries, apricots, strawberries, and some kind of plum like fruit. It was quite a spread. She gave me some cantaloupe to bring home. When I got here (just a little while ago) I fixed a banana/blueberry smoothie. It’s late but it’s a small one and I hadn’t had any blueberries today.
I don’t know if her scales are accurate, but, if they are, I’ve lost seven pounds since the 4th of July! And that’s weighing in the evening after eating supper! I’m going to have to break down and buy some scales so I can be halfway accurate about my weight. I’m more concerned about inches, but the pounds are exciting, too!
When I got the blueberries out of the freezer,
I saw the basil that I’d cut up this morning and
frozen in distilled water in an ice tray. I popped them out and put them in a plastic freezer bag and put them back in the freezer. Now, when I need some basil, I’ll just get out a cube or two and it won’t rot and go to waste like the last package did.
It’s been a long day. I’ve about finished my smoothie and I’m heading for bed soon.
