I got up earlier than usual this morning so I had plenty of time to BodyFlex and put in some time on the Nordic Track and Healthrider, too.
I wasn’t going to upload the picture of the smoothie but it was so dark and rich-looking (and tasting) that I couldn’t resist.
Breakfast was a smoothie of a large banana, a pear, pineapple, and blueberries. I had some sunflower seeds, too, plus some of the organic Bing cherries. They were good but not as plump and flavorful as the pesticide variety.
I’d taken corn for lunch but didn’t have room for it after I’d eaten my large salad and almonds. I’d forgotten the watermelon and that’s just as well. I made sure I didn’t take as much salad as I did yesterday so all I brought home was the corn.
Today was a very stressful day and I, a few weeks ago, would have had a hard time coping with all the problems. I’m not the same person I was, though, and had energy to spare.
For supper, I had corn on the cob, Mock Salmon Pate, baby carrots, the watermelon that was supposed to be part of my lunch, a black plum, and a Clementine. I thought I had some lettuce in the fridge but all I found was baby spinach and baby greens mix. I was going to make a rollup with some of the pate and a big lettuce leaf but I’m good for the day. It is really delicious. I didn’t have a whole red sweet pepper so I cut the recipe ‘way down and it’s a good thing I did because I think I ate too much as it was. Before I put the rest away, I was eating it with a spoon.
My sister, Anna, has told on me. She has leaked the information to my oldest sister that I am on a diet that is making me feel terrific. I got an e-mail from Kay saying that she wants me to “share my wisdom”. I don’t know how wise it is, but I sent her the link. She’ll probably be horrified. Well, I was a little put off by the idea when my daughter first told me about it. Welcome to HER world, huh?
I looked in at the webcam that is in the internet cafe where my son-in-law volunteers but I couldn’t see much. I felt like e-mailing him to take off his shirt so I could see how much he’s lost. Maybe he’ll get those pictures posted soon.
Good ol’ Ben Franklin said that it takes 21 days to establish a habit and science has proved him right. I’ve finished up my 22nd day so it should be part of my make-up now.
