I wasn't sure where exactly to post this but thought people might find it useful. A whole month of raw recipes and blog posts! I think it looks like fun. Cheesy

Let me know if you try and recommend any of the recipes!

I'm not seeing a month of raw recipes, only 5.  There are a ton of gluten free but that's not something I worry about.  I'll keep looking, but thanks for thinking of us with this one!

Hey, here's something similar. http://www.purematters.com/blog/post/rawgust-aiming-for-an-85-raw-diet-this-month Not so much recipes as testimony about starting the raw food lifestyle. I'm considering getting into this myself, and find it really intersting to read what other people go through converting. Was it really difficult for you guys to transition? What do you do when you're travelling somewhere? Do you just have to bring your own food everywhere?

Welcome MQ - head on over to the "journals" section and start your very own journal and we can all get to know you and you can read up on us as well!

I'm still transitioning and it's been 15 years!   Grin  However, I am not willing to give up my social life to be 100% raw.  At the moment, I am raw until dinner and even some days I eat raw dinner as well.  But when I go visit my 91 year old father in law, I let him make me hash browns for breakfast!  I am not going to tell the man I don't want any, it's what he looks forward to - making breakfast for guests.  I would rather eat cooked food that was prepared with love than eat raw food with guilt.  Understand?

When I travel it's really quite easy.  If I'm on a plane, I fast.  If I'm going to Hawaii HOORAY!  I can eat fruit when I get there.  If I'm driving there's a cooler in my backseat filled with produce and even some times I will take my VitaMix or my juicer with me.

Good luck and again, welcome to our family..........Shari
