Very, Very Tired

When I woke this morning, I was breathing almost normally. I lay there and enjoyed the novelty of it until I had to get up in answer to nature’s call. I’ve been up for the rest of the day.

Last night, I watched the debate and most of the after-party. I must say that all Hillary has to do is make one little dig and it throws Donald ‘way off course. It’s scary to think that he might be the most important person in our country and the resident of the White House for the next four years. When DS1 told me I’m fortunate not to have much longer to live, I agree. I’ll be resting quietly wherever Genesis chooses to have me while my survivors have to face whatever is coming.

Breakfast was applesauce and a cinnamon waffle, plain. I was eating the waffle when another nurse came in from hospice. She’s very tall and a big woman. Not what I’d call heavy, just big. She was in the process of getting much of the info I’d already given twice when Cuz came in and asked her to move her car. She had to take her construction partner to his doctor appointment.

She didn’t stay as long as the others had but, since I was already tired, it was long enough.

My CIL’s phone rang and it was Cuz telling him her CP’s BP had almost bottomed out and the ambulance was taking him to the hospital from the clinic. She was following. Later, she called again and said they were putting him to bed and giving him IV fluids.

Well watered, I was trotting back and forth. Besides the quantities of water I drink during the day, I had half a bottle of Canada Dry.

CIL came in to get my supper order. Cream of Wheat and two scrambled eggs. I also had four crackers when I took a pain pill (which has thoroughly worn off).

The phone rang again. Rather than keeping him overnight, Cuz’ CP was being discharged home. No one had had them sign anything on the way in or on the way out. Since he’d gone in through the ER, he had to leave that way, too, even though he’d been all but put to bed on a floor. How the hospital will be able to legally charge his insurance for that is beyond me.

Cuz looked like I feel when she got home. After all the hydration, her CP was hungry so she fixed him something to eat and then she had something, herself. She hadn’t eaten all day. No wonder she’s so skinny.

Tonight, an old friend posted on my wall to get in touch with him. I emailed him and then my phone rang. A mutual friend had told him I am very sick so he wants to come see me next week. I sent him the address. It will be good to see him.

I’m really all out of steam. I merged the bulletin with the additional announcements and emailed it plus I posted it on Facebook. The opening song is one I loved playing on the organ — Great Is Thy Faithfulness.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day. Good night, all.
