This is going to be quite short. I’m on an achingly slow Internet connection (Verizon hotspot) with a minuscule data cap of 8 GB. Since I used 138 GB last month on U-verse, 8 GB could be gone in a heartbeat.

Cuz’ sister (also my cuz) came by to check on me Friday. I wasn’t doing well but I crept around and took care of myself except for her bringing me a container of yogurt.

Sabbath, no one came and I had to do it all. That night, I slept badly and I was so weak on Sunday (yesterday) that I could hardly go. Since DD is coming out for a week on the 27th, I was determined to stick it out until she got here.

Cuz texted and asked it I was okay. Since she hadn’t heard anything, she assumed so. I told her I was barely making it. She asked if it was moving day. I said I hoped not because I wanted to be there when DD arrived. She must’ve set out soon because it wasn’t long that she texted she was on her way up the mountain.

When she got there, she gave me a container of yogurt to eat and we talked. I finally admitted I could no longer do for myself 24/7 so she called her sister and her BIL to come and bring the truck.

It took them very little time to load everything and me up. Cuz drove the van, BIL drove the truck and Sister drove my car. All three vehicles were topped off.

La Z BoyOnce here, I was put in Cuz’ construction partner’s fancy Laz-y-Boy with the electric control. That’s where I spent the next several hours while they unloaded and set everything up in the bedroom. When they got ready to leave, Sister came and said my bed was all ready and even turned back.

If I could’ve kept from coughing, last night would have been a good one but I coughed and coughed and coughed. I was afraid I was disturbing Cuz and my CIL on the other side of the bathroom but Cuz told me she barely heard me once. So, I’ll not try to stifle them from here on out.

Today has been a rather lazy day for me. I did peel a peach and pour a bowl of cereal but, other than that, anything else has been brought to me.

My CIL said he was going out to get gas for the lawn mower. He was gone less than five minutes when he came back in, followed by the pastor. It was so nice to see him. We had a good talk and he looked around, approving of the setup. When the visit wound up, he had prayer with me and left.

Cuz went back to the house and brought more food and stuff. My throat was feeling irritated so Cuz opened a quart of her homemade tomato juice and heated up a cup for me. It felt good going down but my stomach burned after. Tonight, I was plied with popcorn and peach cobbler following my yogurt.

I’ve sent my new address out to friends and family and got several messages back.

The one thing I’m missing that I really need is my devotional book. I’ll be so far behind when I find it (or Cuz tells me where it is), it will take days to get caught up.

That was a whirlwind move! No wonder there is something you hadn’t found when you wrote your blog. Hope you have your devotional book by now. I would miss mine if I couldn’t find it.

Yes. When Cuz is given the go-ahead, things happen. And if the book had been a snake, it would’ve bit me. It was in the tote next to the chair I’m sitting in. I’ll start catching up in the morning.
