And on the Fifth Day

Taking the doxepin in conjunction with the cough med helped. I slept better and woke, while not refreshed, feeling like I might live.

Cuz came out and took care of some things (including me). She straightened up the bed and fixed me two peaches to begin my first meal of the day. As Mother would say, my eyes were bigger than my stomach when I tried to eat a container of Silk yogurt. I got, maybe, three bites down when I had to give it up. She covered it and put it in the fridge for later.

She fixed my tea and brought me a dose of cough medicine after I agreed to take it.

When she was satisfied I’d do okay on my own, she left after feeding the Catz the second time.

I waited for a couple of hours, then ate the rest of the yogurt.

taco bellMy next meal was the other burrito with Daiya cheese. I meant to add some hot sauce to it but I forgot. That’s okay. I would have probably coughed more than I already did.

The cough medicine didn’t really help that much. I think I’ll save it for bedtime. It didn’t make me sleepy but just kind of yuck. I don’t know how to explain it but it wasn’t a good feeling. I probably used half a box of tissue with all the coughing, spitting and nose blowing.

After I had my tea this evening, I ate some crackers. I’m trying to snack my way into gaining weight. This morning, I was on the shy side of 120 lubs for the first time in years. If I were trying to lose weight, that would be wonderful but I’m not. I’m trying to stop the downhill slide.

Still no word from the editor. I’m wondering now if she’s okay. I guess time will tell.

Every time I see your blog or UR post I thank God you’re still able to do them. Praying for you. Thanks for blessing me and others with your writing.

That’s one reason I keep at it, Gail. There are people who watch to see if I’ve posted. If I haven’t, they think the worst.

Good news Tommie!! One good night’s sleep is definitely better than none. We’ll appreciate them as they come along.

Like others have said, you have many beautiful angels helping with your needs. I believe you are reaping the rewards of a very giving life. Even the Catz give you pleasure. Bless you…

Another one is behind me. Now if they can become the norm…

      Yes, I’m blessed!

    Tommie…good afternoon. Glad you’ve had a semi-good day. It’s an improvement.
I apologise for my stereotyping…you could be a doctor or pharmacist. In one of your pictures, I assume you were a nurse.
My youngest daughter is a nurse…very good one too.
She adopted two kittens this week…Sugar and Spice. They’re white with a black eye.
    Very cute.
Early in week, I was having internet problems….
    Sleep tight.
    PTL for Donna.

That’s okay. You aren’t the first person who has thought I must’ve been a nurse to work at the hospital. It takes lots more than medical people, though…

Several of my nieces are nurses. I had two brothers-in-law who were doctors and two who were ministers.

The kittens sound cute. My mother used to say, “The trouble with kittens is that they grow up to be cats.”

      Yes! PTL for Donna!!
