Today will go down in the annals of Tommie History as being mostly blah. I fed the Catz, almost scraping the bottom of the bag. I needed to get up the energy to empty the dishwasher but that wasn’t happening.

I did what I had to do and that was about it. My weight was down by 2/10 lub so, if it hasn’t stopped going in the minus column, it’s slowed.

cozyAfter my quiet time, I put the Transformer on the little Cozy Workstation DS2 and his gave me for Christmas so many years ago. I turned it on (actually, I just took it out of sleep mode) and proceeded to update it. That was taking some time so I put it on the love seat and alternately surfed the WWW and rested.

After what seemed like an eternity, it finished and I went about familiarizing myself with the new toy. Some false starts later, I was finally signed into Hulu so I clicked on a video to see how the audio was. The video was fine but the audio is a little on the soft side for me with my hearing challenges. I plugged my headphones in the jack and — nothing. Nada. Zero. Zilch.

I’d downloaded the manual that was on the ASUS site for the Transformer. It’s for the Zen but I guess they figure that’s close enough. It told how to get to the audio wizard but those directions don’t go with what I have. I never did get the audio to work with the headphones and this is what I felt like before I gave up.

ASUS support has been emailed and I’ve received a confirmation saying someone will reply within 48 hours. I could be dead before then and the Transformer would become part of my estate. Estate. That makes it sound so, so, so uptown. Sorta like I might be on a par with Donald Trumpkin. Er, Drumpf. I don’t want to insult the Dwarf.

Not wanting to give in and go back to bed, I got back on my notebook and cruised around looking for something to watch. I landed on Netflix and “Hungry for Change”. I definitely need to get more fresh veggies into my diet but not being able to go to the store puts a crimp in my being able to do anything about it. It’s a good documentary, though. It more or less repeats what’s said in many others.

My teeth regimen is interesting in the semi-darkness of the bathroom. It’s hard to see how full the tank is for the Waterpik so I just have to hope it’s enough. I think I did better today than I did yesterday. Then, flossing is a challenge, too. I don’t have to look often but when I do, I like being able to see.

Tomorrow is the visit from my nurse friend. She’ll give me my B12 shot and, hopefully have some sweet taters and greens for me to help get some vitamin A and iron into my diet. I don’t want to be up too late and sleep through her knock. She does knock so softly.

Well, I’ve just had the Grandmother of all coughing episodes. It wasn’t as bad as some so it wasn’t the Granddaddy. A bit kinder, gentler episode. It’s over for the time being so I guess I should take advantage of the calm (maybe the eye of the storm?) to wind this up.

Your illustration is very descriptive! I hope things go better tomorrow.

It’s looking up. I still have a lot to learn.
