The Writing on the Wall

I’d failed to shoot myself in the leg until much later than I intended. I’d thought about it but was busy doing something else. When I did do it, I had no trouble drawing up the liquid from a vial that’s getting increasingly empty.

That done, I turned my attention to the Indiana primaries. Hillary was ahead early on but it wasn’t long until Bernie took over. As far as I can tell, Bernie has won but his net result is cutting Hillary’s lead by single digits.

On the GOP side, Trump was at the top from the get-go. No one else had a chance. There was a live blog following the elections and at 19:41 TT, Micah Cohen posted, “Ted Cruz announces he is suspending his campaign.” My erstwhile roommate confirmed it saying the New York Times and CNN both posted it.

Cruz drops out.

Carly is nowhere to be seen while Cruz makes his announcement. Maybe she was on the bus with Catherine and Caroline singing them to sleep. Will we ever hear those other three verses to her special song?

As for John Kasich, he’s vowing to stay the course until the Donald reaches the magic number even though Drumpf is being referred to as “the presumptive nominee”. IF Drumpf wins 100% of the delegates available through May, that still wouldn’t get him there. June is a different ball o’ wax, altogether. With a total of 303 delegates in June, “presumptive” might not preface it.

I’ve heard rumors of a U-Haul being loaded and I’ve been invited along. Maybe it’s time for a road trip? I dunno. I’m going to hang around until the bitter (literally bitter) end.

Looks like the next occupant of the White House is anybody’s guess, and will probably remain so until the general election is history — unless there has to be a recount, and then it will be longer!

If it’s Drumpf, look for a flashy makeover. No more boring white.

Sorry, I know who you mean, but not what you mean.

A makeover of the White House. All occupants bring their own touches and his tend toward glitter and glitz.
