Shutting Down

The receiver for the BRAVO dangled around my neck for two whole days. Forty-eight hours, to be exact. I’d been told that, at the end of said time, it would stop recording. I’d made my last entry at 08:17 and when I checked it next, the display telling the time was gone. It was over. I didn’t need to wear it any more.

DD called but I was in the middle of something. It went to voice mail which Google transcribed and sent me in an email.

hey mom it’s me i’m just calling to see how everything’s going if you want to give me a call back at my home phone number that’s where i’ll be okay talk to you later love you bye

That’s okay that it doesn’t capitalize or punctuate. I knew what she was saying and didn’t need to play it. I like Google Voice.

When I called, her big news was that the garlic she’d planted was coming up. She’s also sowed some kale and has big plans of other things to plant. I told her I’d seen where the Catz have been digging in one of my grow boxes. So much for planting anything in it.

After almost an hour of catching up, we hung up. She and her SO were going to take it easy today since they’d been going pretty much non-stop for several weeks.

Well, everything I needed to do has been done and I am heating up the bathroom so I can soak in the tub. Better call it a night.

Sounds like DD also got the gardening gene! Good for her.

      She’s a farmer at heart.
