I was up, showered, dressed and ready to face the day when my nurse friend got here. She was a few minutes late and I was getting ready to write a note on one of my devotional web sites that said I might have to shoot myself today. The doorbell rang and interrupted that, though. We had a nice visit after she shot me and then she left.
Cuz came over and brought my mail. The sum total was my new ID card from Humana (the ER co-pay has gone up from $65 to $75), a bill from the Mother Ship for my last endoscopy ($95) and a bill from the company that supplies the hospital bed. I’ve already paid that.
Then Cuz left to take her construction partner to his doctor’s appointment. She gets to do that a lot.
The HTML expert fixed the buggy file so I’ll be able to start on it soon. I asked about the helps problem I’d had to fix for several quarters and was going to use the one file the fellow in South Africa had uploaded for first quarter, 2016. That’s when I ran up against a problem I know not how to fix. The editor thought it she had an easy solution but it doesn’t work.
She sent me links for other editors that I downloaded and installed but they either don’t work as well as KompoZer or they aren’t what we need. My eyes are feeling the strain of looking at code most of the afternoon and not being able to fix it. I finally gave it up and did something I could do—finish off lesson 10 of the current quarter, both versions.
Cuz came over and I showed her what I’d been working on. She figured it was a foreign language. She thinks she’ll fix the leak at the tub in the master bathroom on Wednesday. That’s fine with me. The towel I used to catch the water is dry so I may roll it up again tomorrow.
The editor sent me yet another link and asked me to take a look. I did and it doesn’t seem to be what we need. She said, “Just so you know, I can’t figure it out either.” That was before I responded. If I had unlimited funds, I might buy a program but, again, sometimes they don’t do what they’re supposed to.
Surprise, surprise! I’m not going to try to figure out anything else tonight. My poor brain needs a rest. And this is where I stop.
