Information Overload

After the partial debate last night, I woke early again this morning. I did all of my usual morning things and then wondered if I could find what I didn’t see on youtube. There it was. I started watching it but paused it when Cuz came in.

I told her what I was doing. She didn’t say much. I don’t think she’s into the debates but I want to be informed before I go cast my ballot. We visited and she said she was disappointed to find such a short blog post while she was waiting for her coffee to brew. Then she was off to take one of the men she threatens me with to a doctor’s appointment.

When Cuz left, I clicked the mouse and got into the debate again. I watched until I got to the place where I came in last night. I remembered it was when Bernie Sanders said that the NRA had given him a D-. I hadn’t missed as much as I thought I did. I guess the preliminaries had taken up a lot of the time.

Well, after I watched that, I wondered if the Republican debates were on youtube, too. Of course, they were! I watched the CNN one I’d only gotten pieces and bits before and then the first one that had been on Fox and not streamed to Cord-Cutters, either.

I’ve read commentaries on the debates and caught sound bites here and there but it’s a lot more interesting to get things in context.

I was partway through one of the Republican debates when Cuz came in again. She was on her way to town and wanted to let me know she probably wouldn’t be back until I was in for the night.

That little Rand Paul is cute as a button. The Donald made a disparaging remark about his (Rand’s) appearance and I thought he was one to talk. I was admiring Hillary and Carly for their ability to not have to interrupt the proceedings to go to the bathroom. Maybe they wore Depends? Or restricted their fluid intake for the preceding 24 hours?

All I’ve watched today is going ’round and ’round in my head. There’s no way to come to a conclusion. Lots of the candidates made good points, there were some funny parts and some that I couldn’t agree with. Tonight, I’ll probably dream about Donald, Ben, Hillary and Bernie. If I do, I hope they’ll be civil.

Hadn’t thought about watching the debates on YouTube. Smart!

The CNN ones don’t have commercials. There are short ones throughout the Fox but none of the content is cut out.

But Rand Paul looks like a child!

That’s what makes him so cute! Your husband did, too, when you got married.
