It got cold last night. I never did wake up enough to get more cover to put on the bed so I was cold, too. When I got up, I went ahead and took my morning meds, added Mother’s comforter and went back to bed for an hour.
My trip to the mailbox netted me nothing which was fine. I would much rather find zero mail than to get junk.
The Catz and Kittenz were clamoring for food when I got back. I fed them and then came into the house to see what trouble I could get into.
Midday, I went out to pick tomatoes. I’ve been getting around a dozen each trip but this time, I got about a pint. I snacked on a couple while I picked, too. There were a lot I couldn’t reach but more that I could.
What with all the tomatoes, I decided I would need to make a salad. The romaine was very nice-looking yesterday. I got it out, washed it and trimmed it up and got it ready. It wasn’t time to eat yet so I went in and sat down at the computer.
Feeling something crawling on the back of my neck, I reached back to knock whatever it was off. It stung the middle finger of my left hand and went down the back of my dress, stinging me twice more. I jumped up, shucked my dress, turned it wrong side out and shook it. Whatever it was that stung me had disappeared. I have no idea what it was.
My finger was throbbing with pain and the places on my back didn’t feel good. I went in the kitchen, poured a tablespoon of vinegar into a medicine cup and downed it. I couldn’t tell it did any good. All it seemed to do was give me a headache and a queasy stomach.
I put on a clean dress and put the other one in the dirty clothes. Since I’m still able to navigate, I guess the Attacker wasn’t very venomous.
Cuz called me this afternoon to see if I’d use okra if she brings some tomorrow. Yes, yes!! I do love okra. I have several different ways I can fix it and all of them are yummy.
I didn’t realize how late it has gotten. I’m not enthused over drinking 16 ozzies of water after 9 when I’ll have to drink another eight before I go to bed. Guess what I’ll be doing tonight?
My head still feels a little achy. I’m not used to drinking vinegar straight so that might have something to do with it.
Maybe you were supposed to put the vinegar on the stings instead of in your stomach. Yuck!
Taking it is supposed to neutralize the poison. I couldn’t have reached the ones on my back, anyway.
Ouch! I’m thankful you didn’t have a really bad reaction to the stings.
Me, too. CIL would have had to use an EpiPen.
