Rather than wait for the middle of the night for my nightly soak, i did it maybe two hours after I went to bed. With that and only half of a pain pill, I was off into dreamland. The pain pills are going to be part of the weaning process and then only a have-to thing after that. Sabbath morning will be my last Reglan and propranolol. And that will be time to praise the Lord! Any time is but this will be a special time.

I ran the a/c on low all night and the EcoBreeze on medium and it was 68 degrees in the house when I got up. All day, it’s been a few degrees cooler than outside—and it’s gotten HOT today. The high was 84 earlier. It’s cooled to 74 now which is a couple of degrees cooler than the living room so I’ll turn on the EB. It pulls in the outside air so I turn it off during the day.

I did my body test this morning and it showed 21 for my age, then went to 20. That’s better than the other way around.

When I went to the mailbox yesterday, I was rewarded with a sweet thank you note from my high school graduate granddaughter. This morning, I texted DS1 to thank her for it. In the course of our texting, I asked him if he would be installing Windows 10. He said he’s not sure. He might and he can always go back to Windows 7. I wish they’d keep improving 7 and quit mucking around with 8.1 but, as DS1 said, it’s Microsoft. As for me and myself, I’m as yet undecided, too. I’ve reserved 10 but may not install it. Who knows? I’ll have a year to decide.

I’ve had an earworm ever since the 8th grade graduation I attempted to stream. The strings played the Passmore/Smart version of “The Lord Is My Shepherd”. My sister and I used to sing it so it’s near and dear to my heart. I found the lyrics online—of course.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I never shall want,
For lack of His mercies, my soul shall not pant;
In pleasant green pastures I daily abide,
He leads me the peaceful still waters beside.
My soul He restoreth, and for His Name’s sake,
The path of true righteousness bids me take.
Yea, though I pass through death’s dark valley and shade,
I will not by evil be ever dismay’d.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I never shall want.

For Thou art my Shepherd, and with me alway,
Thy rod and Thy staff are my comfort and stay;
My table Thou spreadest in presence of foes,
My head Thou anointest, my cup overflows.
Thy goodness and mercy shall follow me still,
While life’s earnest duties I daily fulfil;
Till joyous my spirit shall claim its reward,
And dwell evermore in the house of the Lord.
The Lord is my Shepherd, I never shall want.

In my defense, I remembered most of them.

It’s amazing what you can find on Facebook. Here is something to look forward to in 2016. Then, on the yucky side, there’s this article. I’m glad it’s been almost 10 years since I ate my last egg.

My energy level has been up today but it’s still hard to concentrate on one thing long enough to get it done. I eventually settled on taking care of the waterbed which I have, mostly. I washed the sheets, pillowcases and pillow covers and discovered that Cuz had put two pillow covers on one pillow! The sleeper was well guarded against allergies. I lay down on the waterbed last night and the mattress is stretched out enough it either needs more water or a new one. If I’m ever able to go back to it, I might celebrate with a new mattress. I can get a good one for less than $100. This one cost $50 and has lasted for many a year.

CIL came by this morning and he must’ve fed the Catz. Floppy-eared Six came begging so I fed her and here came the others, too, though they didn’t seem terribly hungry.

I’ve put out my nighttime meds well ahead of time. I sabotaged myself the other night by taking a propranolol when it should have been Zantac. Both pills are an orangy pink and I picked up the wrong bottle. I sure don’t want THAT to happen again. That could be one reason I couldn’t sleep since it’s a side effect. Not tonight, thank you anyway.

    68 in the house sounds wonderful! Mine was 76.

      That’s just the living room, dining room and kitchen, though. You have a lot of open space.

    I still remember how beautiful that song was when you two sang it!

      It’s one of those songs that I enjoyed singing.

    I got a sweet thank-you note from your granddaughter several weeks ago. I was impressed!

      Not many of us write the paper ones any more (and, yes, I’m including myself).
