Lazy Bones

I’ve done next to nothing today. I think a large part of the problem is the fact that I’ve been in my housecoat all day long. My clothes are either hot weather or cold weather clothes. I don’t have anything for home that’s for in-between. When I wear my housecoat, I’m not inclined to do much but sit and that’s what I’ve done.

My niece emailed this morning that my brother-in-law passed away last night. He spent less time in the nursing home than my mother did and hers was a short stay. Bless his heart. He left the house he’d lived in for most of his life just last week. As a matter of fact, it was a week ago today. He’s awaiting the call of the Lifegiver now.

The missing son of my friend still hasn’t been found. If you can sign into Facebook, you can see the public post about him here. He was reported missing days ago but it was discovered today that the report had never been filed. That’s inexcusable. Please pray that, if the Lord wills it, he will be found alive and well. Update! He’s been found and he’s okay.

Well, Cuz and her twin brother have been hard at work clearing trees and underbrush away from the back of the house. She has worn herself out two days in a row. No wonder she’s skinny. All of that activity today was fueled by a peanut butter and jelly sandwich plus too many sodas.

There’s a good crop of fruit flies zooming around. I was hoping the five gallon bucket would keep them contained but it doesn’t seem to have done the trick.

Here I am, yawning again. Seems to happen pretty regularly this time of night.

    To stop fruit flies:

Put 1 inch of apple cider vinegar into a bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of liquid dishwashing soap.
Leave it out on the counter overnight

It smells awful, but attracts the fruit flies and does ’em in.

I’ve used that but in different measurements. Mine calls for the ACV, water and just a drop of dishwashing liquid. It works, too. I’ve just been too lazy to do it.
