Heading Off to Dreamland

Thursday night was better. I actually slept. I’d showered instead of bathing the day before and I wondered if maybe I hadn’t gotten all the soap rinsed off. Maybe that’s why I was itchy and restless. I don’t know. Anyway…

Yesterday, I did my usual Friday things. I attempted to flip the mattress but it was a little too much for me to handle so it remains in the position it was in before. Cuz said she’d do it for me next time but she may not be here Friday to take care of it and I don’t want to have to change the bed twice in one week. It’s rather a bear with the Memory Foam topper. I’m not going to take it off, though. It makes the mattress bear-able. Otherwise, the mattress makes me sweat and it isn’t nearly as comfortable.

Cuz and hers came home yesterday and she was over for a brief visit before Sabbath. She asked if I planned to go to church. Well, no. Since there were to be no services this week, I didn’t plan on it. Camp meeting was taking place so I would be staying home.

That’s just what I did. I watched an excellent sermon via live streaming and hoped to enjoy an afternoon concert from yet another camp meeting but that didn’t materialize. I did watch a bit more of what followed that time period, though.

Cuz came over for another short visit late this afternoon. I’d already had my last meal of the day—a slice of the best tomato I’ve had this year on a piece of toast with Just Mayo and sliced onion. I don’t do well with sandwiches any more because of my tremor. The propranolol helps but it doesn’t do away with the tremor in my left hand.

While Cuz was here, she told me the flop-eared cat is Six and there are three kittens she has brought into the world. My CIL had come close to petting Six today so maybe the time will come when she can be fixed and quit increasing the tribe. Who knows whether the new ones are male or female, though?

I’ve had a crick in my upper back and neck most of the day but it seems to have eased some. I hope so. I tried to pop it earlier but was unsuccessful. It would be nice if it would correct itself before bedtime.

More kittens! Too bad, unless they could be adopted and cared for. And, no, I’m not considering doing that!

Neither am I. If they can be caught, I imagine they will be fixed unless they CAN be given away.
