Sunshine for Real

Sleep was a long time coming last night. I don’t know why I get so keyed up that I can’t nod off when I get into a nice, warm bed. It almost guarantees I’ll sleep tonight, though.

sunshineI should’ve taken a picture of the sunny out-of-doors but merm didn’t ask for proof when I posted, “The sunshine is so sunshiny!!” It must not be as exciting to her as a dusting of snow is.

It got up to almost 40! I took advantage of the milder weather and emptied the compost. The Catz were disappointed, once again, that all I had to offer were fruit and veggie scraps. It was nice to walk without the fear of skating. The deck has been icy during the damp days (and nights, too, I guess).

My sister called to let me know when she’ll be at my niece’s house so I can visit and work on her notebook. I admonished her not to leave the disks and power cord behind and she promised not to.

While we were talking, another call rang through but I ignored it. I haven’t been successful at picking up a call on MagicJack the way a person can with Call Waiting. I really haven’t tried that hard. I checked the number and called it back. It was Smucker’s. My voice mail gave a message with a different number to call plus a case number.

Guess I should explain. Yesterday, I had a piece of toast with crunchy peanut butter on it. I chomped down on a very hard something and thought maybe I’d broken a tooth. Running my tongue over them convinced me that wasn’t the case. I isolated the piece of whatever it is and emailed Smuckers including my phone number and the UPC code off the peanut butter jar.

I was being contacted for more information. The woman asked for the “Use by” date then wanted to know when I bought it, how long I’d been using it, how much was left and where I’d made the purchase. I had no idea when I bought it or started using it so I let her know I was just guessing. What size jar? 16 ozzies. She apologized and said she’d send me some coupons. I described the foreign object as best I could and offered to email a picture if she’d give me an address to send it to. We ended the conversation with the woman saying she’d email me the information. I have yet to hear anything.

My B-12 shot went smoothly. If there was anything left in the vial, it was too little to see. I’m getting good at that.

I texted Cuz to see how she was doing. She’d had quite a bit of pain last week but it’s evened out now. She has to go back in to be checked in something like a week and a half.

That’s about it for today. Tomorrow, it’s back to only partly sunny with a slight chance of rain. Boohoo.

Glad it wasn’t a broken tooth. That’s my kind of peanut butter too, but so far, so good.

I told the woman it looked like a piece of (maybe) walnut shell. She said no nuts are processed in their facility and couldn’t imagine where it came from.
