New Year’s Eve Eve

A week ago tonight, I did a Christmas Eve Eve post. I didn’t want to shirk my duty as being fair and unbiased so I’m doing the same for New Year’s. 2015 would seem much more strange if I hadn’t been working in it for the past several weeks. As a matter of fact, one of the most notable things I did today was get another set of lessons uploaded, complete with helps.

Another happening worthy of mentioning is that the sun came out this afternoon! It had been days since I’d seen it. Most encouraging, indeed.

Kimberly (Genese’s daughter) got a waffle maker for Christmas. One of her friends posted a link on Facebook to a page with suggestions for what can be done with one. For part of my breakfast, I waffle makered a slice of the bread I got at the bakery and mashed half an avocado on it. It was really good, sprinkled with kala namak.

Genese is enjoying chia seed in different ways. This morning, she sent me a private message with a “recipe” I want to try. My oats are in the freezer so I’ll wait until tomorrow to go get them.

i have created the best breakfast. i mix dashes of cinnamon, ground cloves and ginger into about 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and add that mixture along with 2 pats of margarine and a tablespoon of brown sugar into oatmeal. once thoroughly combined, i fold in a 4 oz container of applesauce. the results tastes like an apple pie topped by a spicy oatmeal crisp, the natives here think it’s bazaar but it is so good.

I told her anything “the natives” haven’t tried is weird to them. My lunches were strange and wonderful affairs sometimes.

Noah's ArkThe diffuser has been running most of the day. It’s shut off now and I’m coughing. I hope to sleep better tonight than I did last night. The comforter and blankets were all in a wad this morning from my pulling and tugging on them to try to keep warm. I guess it’s time to pile on more cover.

The sun may be visible tomorrow and New Year’s (which is also DS2’s 48th birthday). Then the rain is supposed to come back in that evening. We may still need an ark.

Sun? Sounds a bit familiar. Tell me more…

It’s out there this morning. Look at the sky. If you see a round yellow thing (don’t look directly at it), that’s the SUN. It’s here this morning. Sadly, Weatherbug says it may not be where you live.

I see it!! Now I remember what it looks like and feels like! I’m going to soak up some of it while I have my morning devotional reading. Hope it will stay for a while.

WOOHOO! You have it, too! Maybe it will stay until dark. Who knows?
