110 Years and One Day Ago…

I’d thought of my mother’s birthday more than once yesterday but when my fingers hit the keyboard, that was it. Current Events took over and anything resembling ancient history was out the window. Happy belated birthday, Mother!

It’s been a rainy 24 hours. Last night, it was raining so hard I wondered if there might be a tornado close by. I opened the front door and the sound was all rain. It was pounding down with a fury but it didn’t last long.

For breakfast, I had my second banana of the lot I bought. I tried to get them in varying stages of ripeness so I could eat a couple right away and the rest would come on later. The first two were like the #8 on this chart:

I used to like bananas that were still as unripe as #5 but they don’t taste good to me now. They’re too starchy. When I buy glow-in-the-dark green ones, they always seem to rot. I don’t know how they get to a good eating stage in the stores because they never do here at home.

When I went to feed the critters this afternoon, two were on the deck. They were joined by a third out in the yard and then a fourth by the steps. Coming out with their food, I counted all five.

I’ve been doing my own bit of research re: the fraudulent use of my credit card number and have ruled out both the animal hospital and the gas station. I’d used my new card at neither place. That leaves Walmart, Bi-Lo, the beauty shop and two produce places. If it isn’t any of them, then it means it stemmed from using it online. I haven’t used the new number anywhere except Amazon, The Raw Food World and to pay my homeowner’s insurance. So the mystery goes on.

The rain continued off an on today and it’s smooth cloudy out there now. Rain is in the forecast through day after tomorrow but a lot can change between now and then.

It isn’t long until bedtime but Twinkle thinks it’s time to eat. I’d better go take care of The Boss.

      I verified it’s true and I like mine when they’re spotted. 😀

I prefer them at #6 stage, but eat them now at #’s 7 & 8 stages since learning how much good they do you then. I have to eat them with something that isn’t sweet though…

Guess my sweet tooth is more active than yours. I can eat ’em straight up. 😎

#6 is the ripest I can deal with. I have a friend who would say, “Why are you eating that rotten banana?” if it didn’t still have some green on it!

Keep trying riper ones and your taste will change! I reckon we can use all the help we can get to stay healthy!

You need to educate your friend!
