A Devious Day

The sun was out in all its glory but it did little to warm things up. Sure, my thermometer says it got up to 77 today but it’s lying. I really need to move that sensor out of the sun but the angle of the house is going to let it get hit one time or another no matter where I put it.

Heartbleed has nothing on Lowe’s. My CIL brought over my receipt and the other stuff from my order. There was a panel of four labels with my name, address, phone number, my CIL’s name, the item number AND my credit card information all handwritten. It had the credit card company, my zip code, the complete credit card number, expiration date and CVV number. That’s everything a dishonest person would need to charge all sorts of stuff. I know my CIL wouldn’t do that but what if he’d dropped it and someone else had picked it up?

I did a bit more on the lessons today but not enough to say I over-extended myself.

There was no bath or shower. I washed strategic places with a washcloth and let it go at that.

The larder is getting low. I’m nowhere near starvation but I ate my last banana yesterday. Twinkle still has plenty of food and she’s making good use of it.

Genese let me win another Wordscraper game. Now, we’re down to just two. We’ll see how these go.

Thank goodness, the Computer Owner’s laptop updated a string of programs. If it had been back in her possession, that might never have happened.

DS1 called from Birmingham wanting to know if I’d traveled Interstate 65 when we lived there. I don’t think it had been built. That was eons ago when he was a toddler.

My sister tried to fire up the old XP machine today but she says nothing’s happening. I have an idea it’s the monitor since lights are visible on the tower. I guess she’s given it up for tonight.
