Last night, my back hurt. I don’t think it had anything to do with cooking or vacuuming or visiting with relatives. It’s my belief that the new location of the computer is what caused it. So…this morning, I went back to my old digs and Twinkle approved. She’s had lots of lap time today.
Earlier, I looked out and there was a dusting of snow. Just now, I took another gander and it’s still coming down. Not hard but it’s snowing. Tomorrow is supposed to be clear so I doubt there will be much on the ground. The wind has been blowing a lot and, if it keeps up, it will probably take it into the next county.
I’ve worked on the lessons for hours. When I finished up both versions of #6, I called it quits for now. I guess it will be up to me to do the rest. I asked the editor if she’d give me a 5% raise. She said she’s generous and how about 50%? I wish my former employer had had that attitude.
It’s cold out there. When I was cleaning out Twinkle’s cat box, I noticed a cold draft coming in from the furnace beside her bathroom. I tried blocking it with a towel but there was no way to fasten it. Trying to think of something, I was praying and Glad Press’n Seal came to mind. Hoping (and praying) I’d have enough, I got my roll out. Pulling out long strips of it, I stuck it over the vent and around the bottom part, too. There’s still some left but it can’t be much. It isn’t a beautiful job but it’s stopped a lot of the cold air coming in.
I “heart” Press’n Seal! I’ve added it to my list for the next time I go to town.
It’s already down into the teens. Tonight’s forecast low for the valley is 13. I think I’ll leave water running.
Smart move, that Press and Seal!
I’m glad I had enough! There can’t be much left.
