Week 8, Day 5

Not a whole lot to report tonight. I didn’t sleep with my hot water bottle last night and found that I rest better without it. My bed is warm from the heater being on during the day. It’s off at night but doesn’t cool down a whole lot. Seems if the ‘bottle is in the bed with me, I’m conscious of it and that disturbs my sleep.

There was a board/business meeting today but I woke at the time I would have had to leave. So…guess who didn’t go?

When I got out of my bath, I discovered that DD had called while I was getting clean. I called her back and we had a good visit. She and a friend were going to make cookies this afternoon and then go shopping.

I took the initiative and called DS1. He’d worked last night (that’s unusual) and was home napping so he didn’t answer the phone. I’d left voice mail but told him not to call because I was going to exercise. I did my 25 minutes (and coughed a bit) and then called him back. He answered that time. I touched base with 2/3 of my children. Not bad.

The church pianist called to let me know one of the results of the meeting is that there are some changes being made to the service. Instead of going directly into a second song service after the lesson study, I’m to play the organ softly for 10 minutes. Then there will be a song service for 10 minutes with the leader making the selections. After that will be the welcome and announcements. Prayer requests will be given to one of the elders who will enter them on his tablet. They will be displayed via the projectors. I was hoping they had taken out the Doxology after the offering but it’s still there. It’s tricky to shift from the offertory smoothly.

Here’s what Genese’s and my stats look like currently:

Genese won

My points for “MILER” are in parentheses. There are 68 tiles left. I took the screenshot one minute after I’d played.

There were so many things I was going to get done today but didn’t. My energy kicks in mid-afternoon which can be very frustrating. I’m hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

I’m also hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. This one was gray and gloomy, so I was, too.

I’m sure you’re right, Joanie. There should be a time limit on discussion. Really.

It’s been gray and gloomy here, too, but I don’t think it rained. A bit of mist, though.

You could have come halfway through the meeting and still got in on two and a half hours of the meeting!
