Week 8, Day 2

My theory about the hot water bottle doesn’t hold, uh, water. When I got up, the covers weren’t as nicely arranged as they had been before.

I didn’t get to bed as early as I’d hoped. That was mostly because I had a coughing episode that lasted forever. I didn’t time it but it was probably most of 15 minutes. After more than a week without cough medicine, I thought better of going to bed without it and took a dose.

The icy morning I expected didn’t pan out. That’s okay. I’m not anxious for winter days to come. It was warmer when I got up than when I went to bed. It was something like 39 and climbed another 10 degrees before the sun started getting low in the sky.

After my shower, I put on my sweats and running shoes. One of the first rules the Flylady lists is to put on lace-up shoes after showering and getting dressed. I was hoping they would inspire me but they didn’t. If anything, they weighed me down.

At least the templates are done for the quarter (I think). Now the editor is talking about having four different style sheets instead of just one. I did a save as and modified the one we’ve had for this quarter, then uploaded it. If it meets with her approval, that’s half the intended total. IF it’s okay, then I’ll have to make one more modification to 13 lessons. With find and replace, that will take maybe two minutes. No big deal.

Twinkle’s appetite picked up and now it’s back down again. Better go give her her B-12 and hope for the best.

    Sorry about the cough!

Your hot water bottle reminds me of what happened to one I had many years ago. One night I filled it, crawled into bed, and soon became aware that I was getting wet! Our dog, Susie, was a pup and she had bitten all over it but made tiny pinpricks that weren’t easily noticed–until the leaks came!

From everything the doctor has told me, I’m pretty much stuck with a cough. And shortness of breath. And occasional wheezing.

That would be unpleasant! I hope Twinkle doesn’t develop a taste for mine.

I’ve tried putting my shoes on first thing in the day to be more productive… it doesn’t work for me! I hate shoes and NEVER wear them indoors. I just felt like I was creating more work for myself by making the floors look even worse. So back into the closet went the shoes and I happily walk around in my socked feet. 😉

I wear backless sandals I bought from Avon years ago. I have two pairs—one I can wear with light socks and the other with thicker ones. Since Twinkle does upchuck now and then, I don’t go in just my socks. 😛
