Yesterday wasn’t as productive as Thursday. I did get a few things done but I was pretty much wiped out from all the prior activity.

My cousin was keeping me up to date about her construction partner’s brother. Sadly, he passed away yesterday. She was in the process of notifying family members so we didn’t talk long.

There was a call from the automated system for Bi-Lo’s pharmacy saying my prescription was ready to be picked up. Hope springs eternal…I called and they’d just failed to put the 1 ml vial back into their stock. Oh, well.

Twinkle’s litter was getting low. I’ve checked the last two times I was at Walmart but it wasn’t in stock. I ordered three bags for Site to Store. It must have come in because I immediately got an email that they are ready for pick up. Now, that I can believe. I had to get the small bags because the 20 lub isn’t available. I figured up the price and three smaller ones (7 lub) are not much more than one big one.

Today went fairly well. I wore my hearing aids to church and controlled the volume with the ePen. It isn’t as obvious as the Tek remote and people probably think I was just fiddling with a rather fat writing instrument. It was nice to be able to hear almost everything that went on.

Including, the children’s story about Molly the Cow. It was a story I was glad I didn’t miss. The storyteller got some strange looks from her targeted audience when she said there are people who eat cows. She ended the tale with the info that Molly is in a sanctuary in Seattle. That was part of the original plan from what I’ve been able to find but she’s in Montana and even has her own Facebook page. It isn’t surprising she encourages a vegan lifestyle.

I stayed for a cow-free lunch and my organic brown jasmine rice with cashew gravy and Elianni Veggie Roll was almost completely licked up. There was about a cup of rice left out of a double batch.

My friend with the greenhouse brought me some nice tomatoes, cucumbers and banana peppers. I shared the peppers with my CIL. He told me the viewing is tomorrow and offered to let me ride with him. It depends on how I feel whether I go or not. Every other day seems to be about all I can handle at the moment.

I talked to my cousin and she told me not to feel obligated to go to the viewing. I’m debating.

Twinkle got a lot of lap time this afternoon. She’s happily snoozing on her heating pad. The weather is getting noticeably cooler but it isn’t uncomfortable yet. Mark my words, though. Cold weather will get here. One plus is that it will bring persimmons and better oranges. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen.

So sorry about the death. We know how difficult that can be.

Do most grocery stores have brown jasmine rice? I’d like to try some, but I haven’t seen any where I buy most of my groceries.

It’s sad. I prayed he wouldn’t suffer and he didn’t for long.

I’ve seen the white jasmine rice but not brown. I get organic brown jasmine from Amazon on Subscribe and Save. Also organic brown basmati.
