It was late afternoon when I got some energy going. I did some picking up and carrying out. My CIL met me in the yard when I was taking over the last and largest garbage bag. He carried it the rest of the way to the place they’ve told me to put my trash.
There were a couple of ripe figs on the tree but the season is definitely winding down. We were talking about figs and such when he told me there is a tree close to my cousin’s construction partner’s house. The figs would make three of mine. I asked if he’d eaten any of them and he said yes. Were they good? They were okay. Well, the two I’d just picked were delicious. I figure it’s the valley vs the mountain, anyway.
A little earlier, I’d walked around the loop several times. Once, I stopped and figured one circuit is just over 100 steps. I put 500+ on my pedometer. Not much but a start.
My CIL had told me the construction partner’s brother isn’t doing well. Later in the evening, my cousin called and gave me more details. It doesn’t sound good.
Yesterday, I faced up to reality and took the forum down. It’s gotten to be more of a liability than an asset. This morning, I had emails from two of the members saying they’d gone to check in and found it closed. I’m debating what to do. If there’d been activity, I would have left it up but it’s been dormant a long time. Spammers would register for an account and I’d either have to reject them or delete their accounts after they posted inappropriate content. I may put it back up as a resource but not allow any new posts. Time will tell.
There are a couple more things I want to do before I go to bed so I’d better get to it.
Just caught up with your blog, after being computerless for a week! Won’t comment on each one, but can keep up to date again. How we depend on these machines!
Been putting away and catching up, but still have more to do.
If you had that laptop, you could take it with you and not be computerless. 🙂
