My cousin called this morning. Her husband (my CIL) wasn’t home and wouldn’t be back in time to feed the critters. Sure, I could do it. No problem.

I pulled on something more presentable than my robe to be seen outside at that hour and went to the house. Here came five kittens. They are getting so big, they almost qualify as cats which leads me to wonder what the resulting number will be one of these days. The sixth one peeked around but wouldn’t come out. I’d thought to take my camera with me and since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are 3,000 of them.

On the lookout

Just watching

Today was when I was supposed to be helping get things set up for God in Shoes but there was no way. The event is tomorrow and I won’t be there.

The phone rang and it was the bulletin secretary wondering how she should trim the church service since we are having a special guest. She was lamenting the fact that she was going to have to do all that typing over when the regular bulletin time came around again. I told her to do a “save as” and make the changes on the new document. It took a good 15 minutes of convincing before she’d believe she wasn’t going to mess her original up. I couldn’t believe she’d never done that before.

She’d called me on her cell phone and I was still on the line when a call came in on her house phone. She explained to the caller that I was walking her through how to “save as”. My mind was officially boggled.

Before she’d made any changes, I had her open her original to make sure it still existed. She was finally satisfied. I told her there will be other occasions when she can use “save as” but I think she was skeptical. At least now she knows how to do it.

This evening, I went over and fed the kitty-cats again (I’ve never thought to ask if they feed them twice but they got it today) and the sugar babies.

The dishes are washed, Twinkle started edging toward her bathroom when I came at her with the B-12. It was too late when she realized she had hemmed herself in. I did a load of laundry that’s all dry and taken care of. It’s almost 9 o’clock TT and I’m going to call it a day.

So glad you’re being sensible and not pushing yourself to do “God in Shoes”. If you keep behaving, maybe you’ll soon be feeling more nearly normal.

That would be nice but I have to go back to town tomorrow and I feel like I’ve been drug through a knothole.
