After a good night’s sleep (thank you, Lord!), I woke at 5 a.m. remembering I hadn’t put in my co-op order. I did that, then went back to bed and slept until 8 o’clock.
I wish I could say the sleep was all I needed and I was back to my old self, whatever that is. No, sorry. I was dragging when I crawled out of bed. Switching on the TV and the Wii, I got ready for my body test. It was Day 1,000. My Mii said it was that many days since we first met (not exactly true because I went through several weeks before I created her) and then she said she loves fun facts like that and just couldn’t help herself. Okay.
Monday must be Single Leg Test day. I reset it four times and it still came up Single Leg. I caved and dragged one of Mother’s heavy dining chairs over. I tested at a Wii age of 32. I’ve lost around nine lubs since the inception of my current malady. I was exhausted. The chair will stay in the middle of the living room floor until I truly feel like putting it back. One of my church friends told me I’m not supposed to be moving furniture. Yes, ma’am. I won’t any more.
I have done little today. I’ve eaten two meals, washed dishes and showered. I spent some time in bed, resting. While I was there, I heard either thunder or the loading up of Stuff from the old house. Twinkle pricked up her ears until it looked like they would detach from her head. Later, I looked out the window and I could see a vehicle parked at the end of the driveway and someone moving about. My cousin has been busy working around outside, too. By the time I feel like getting out and looking, it may be altogether different.
Why do clothes have to have tags? I love the ones that have info printed directly on the fabric. While I was taking pain pills, the tags on the inside of my Beautiful Dress didn’t bother me but when I put it on today…OUCH! I grabbed my little purple Fiskars (Mother’s poor excuse for scissors are just a memento) and took out two of the stiffest sharp-edged tags imaginable. I’m as comfortable now as I can be under the circumstances.
Mother’s chair with a small pillow is good for lounging. I was laid back, resting, when Twinkle got on my lap. She proceeded to “make her nest” and stepped squarely on the incision in my belly button. I yelled and she jumped down. She later got back on my lap but was careful not to repeat her earlier indiscretion.
It occurred to me today that I might ought to be taking vitamins. I sat down and ordered some from Amazon. They are the ones manufactured by the company my cousin (my neighbor/cousin’s sister) works for. I could probably get them from her but I’ve already taken too much from them so I won’t ask. I also ordered a gift for DS1’s 49th birthday which is Thursday. I can stay home and spend money just fine.
The almond milk I boiled curdled. I poured some up today and beat it with my “egg” beater. (That’s in quotes because it has never beaten an egg.) Then I added some black-strap molasses for some iron. It was quite nasty but I hope it will help get me back in gear. The company finally responded to my email but didn’t comment about whether or not it was safe to use the milk. I’ll be getting a coupon in “7-10 business days”.
BTW, I have a page on Facebook now. If you haven’t “liked” it yet, I would appreciate it if you would.
Tomorrow will be one week post surgery. That’s when I can call for the pathology results if I don’t hear from the office first. I hope and pray everything will check out as okay. Maybe I should turn that around and pray and hope?
