When I was bragging on how few repairs my little Honda has needed, I failed to remember mid-May 2010. That’s when I had to have the sensor and whole exhaust system replaced. Even with that, though, it hasn’t cost me a whole lot.

Determined to find out whether or not it was my aids entertaining me with engine noises, I took the car for a spin this morning. It was just around the loop and back again but it was enough to convince me that Something is wrong. I called the muffler place and made an appointment. Another “just what I need”.

I’ve worked on the lessons a lot today. At one point, I was making so many mistakes I set my timer for 10 minutes and sat in the sun. I have yet to take them back up again.

The editor is back on the job. I told her what I’ve done and she begged to differ. I had the last laugh, though. The lessons I’ve finished are still on my computer and not on the server.

Earlier this evening, I heard a dog barking. I went outside and it’s a little charcoal gray fluffy animal that belongs across the street. I chased it back over and heard my neighbor fussing at it. No way does it need to cross this road. It isn’t as busy as a highway but there are enough vehicles that streak through to make it just a greasy spot. Maybe it was barking at the kittens?

Speaking of kittens, they have been over here off and on all day. When it was almost dark, I took the compost out and all five were looking at me expectantly. My cousin is working long hours so I went over and fed them. She called me after I left voice mail.

Twinkle tried her best to get away from me when B-12 time came. She got it in two installments since the first one wasn’t 100% successful. Teach her to run from me!

My sisters keep emailing about buying stamps. I’ve tried to educate them regarding saving money on such by having online banking but, so far, it’s been a lost cause. I checked prices and the last time I bought “folders” of stamps was when they were 41 cents each. Maybe 42. Anyway, they are Forever stamps and I bought, I think, five folders. I’m still using them.

Another thing I do is put everything possible on my credit card and get cash back. I have it set up to do a bank draft monthly for the full balance so there’s never a late charge or interest. Our oldest sister used to do that, too, but it hasn’t rubbed off on these two.

Enough of my ranting. I’m going to go to bed.

Somebody has to keep the post office in business. We don’t want to go back to the Pony Express!

I believe you are doing a good enough job for both of us! Besides, when my bank generates a check, it goes via US Mail.
