This morning, I started in on proofreading the lessons and got both versions of the first one done—I think. It seems I always miss something.
I’d kept an eye out for my neighbor/cousin-in-law since he wanted me to follow him to town and bring him back. It was after noon when I looked and the back door was open. I don’t bother him when it’s closed. He was out in the yard and when he saw me, he came over and said he had a bit of work to do on the truck before we could leave. He had gone to get some diesel and had the hood up when the storm hit. He closed the hood far enough to keep the rain out and retreated into the house.
After things slacked off and dried out some, he came over and told me he was ready whenever I was. I said for him to go on and I’d follow as soon as I could get a couple of things done. I gave Twinkle some canned food, used the bathroom and set out.
It didn’t take long after I got to the shop for the business to be done and we came home. For a wonder, the a/c worked!
I resumed my proofreading until time to rebound and watch another episode of “The Andy Griffith Show”.
We’re supposed to learn something new every day and today it was that Howard Morris was not only Ernest T. Bass but he was also George the TV repairman.
Once again, I resumed my proofreading.
My audiologist sent me a private message on Facebook to call her at the office tomorrow. I asked what was going on. She questioned me about the comfort of my current hearing aids. I assured her that I’m trying. I really am. I’d been thinking positive and hoping for the best. I wasn’t going to say anything to her for at least two weeks. I think. Well! It turns out the Siemens man was there today and asked to see my file. And that’s where if it’s gonna happen comes in. I have the wrong hearing aids. These are performance level 5 and they are supposed to be 7. This is the first time in all the years my aud has been in business a mix up like this has happened. Wouldn’t you know it would be me??!
THEN she told me a man had turned in a pair of the smaller 7s that have the microphone in the ear and she wants me to try them just to see how the sound quality is. I’ve wondered about them and now I have my chance to test them out. It will be interesting, to say the least. I’ll call tomorrow to see when I can get in.
I’ve modified the style sheet per the editor’s direction and I’m ready to fold my tent and silently steal away. The dishes are done and Twinkle has been cared for. I’m good.
