Just a quick update before I go to bed. My energy level is increasing and the headaches and other symptoms are fewer and fewer. The tremor is still hanging around but it isn’t as bad as it once was.
Last Monday, there was an open house for the four retiring doctors. I went over right at 4 o’clock when it was supposed to start. There were two doctors there already—my PCP and his sister. My doc came over and gave me a one-armed hug and asked me how I was. I told him I believed the .075 was going to do it for me. He said, “You’ll be feeling so good, you’ll be running around naked!” Well, I don’t think so. Much as the hospital needs the business, I don’t want to give people heart failure.
I stayed there for maybe 20 minutes and went on to buy bananas and get a sympathy card. There was a viewing that evening so I came on home, ate supper and bundled myself back into the car for the trip back down the mountain. I stayed at the funeral home for a decent amount of time and got in the door at 8:30.
The last of the fava beans had been eaten so I busied myself getting some ready to cook. I had to marvel that I’d been able to do everything I had to do before I tucked myself in bed.
My order for the next TSH says to have it done after 11/20. Since that falls on Sabbath this year, I’ll get my blood drawn a week from tomorrow. That should tell the tale whether or not I can stay on my current dose. Until next time, this is Tommie signing off. Over and out.
