My 65th Birthday Pictures

Date February 8, 2009

Just as a lark, I tried the adapter earlier today and it works! I don’t know that it will work tomorrow but it’s working right now. I have uploaded three of the better pictures I took last night so click on if you want to see them.

I was trying to use a picture I bought several years ago for the background. The reflection off the glass was ‘way too much so I got out my filters and tried to tone it down. I succeeded but, not having this computer set up, I couldn’t see the results for sure. The filter I chose made the pictures too dark. I manipulated them and lightened them up, then had to add contrast. They’re pretty grainy but they’ll have to do. I don’t have any others I’d give server space and I can’t go back to my 65th birthday and have a do-over.

Fashion note: The PJs I’m wearing are from Goodwill as is the camisole underneath.

Here I am with Twinkle, sort of. She almost didn’t make it into the picture:

Tommie and Twinkle (kind of)

Here’s Twinkle and the leopard I bought for Mother’s last Christmas in front of the picture. You can sort of see the leopards in the painting.

Twinkle and the Leopards

And last of all, here I am holding Twinkle. She isn’t too enthused.

Twinkle and Me

That’s it, folks. The next time you see me I’ll be even older.

Thanks and thanks again, ZB! If only my adapter will hang on until the replacement gets here. I was chatting with merm on Gtalk and he thinks it might be my computer. I certainly hope not! I can’t afford a new one right now.

I was at the right place at the right time for the pjs. They were hanging with the suits! Among my more expensive purchases, they were $4.
