The Raw Vegan: An Announcement from the Heart

I have come to a difficult decision. After more than two and a half years of what can be called daily blogging, I am cutting back. With that, the subtitle of my blog is also changing. Instead of A DAY BY DAY JOURNAL OF ONE WOMAN LIVING THE RAW FOOD LIFESTYLE, it has become ONE WOMAN LIVING THE RAW FOOD LIFESTYLE. Maybe not perfectly but consistently.

My new schedule will be three topical posts a week with a personal post on Fridays. The daily blog was fine as long as it was all personal but I’m finding it’s difficult to write on a particular topic in an hour. I prefer to substitute quality for quantity.

Let me be completely honest. I’ve been getting burned out writing every night. My posts were beginning to be boring for me to create. I couldn’t imagine why anyone else would want to read them. It was the same endless round of when I went to bed, when I got up, whether or not I exercised, the food I ate (with quantities), my day and on and on ad nauseam. My daughter came to my rescue and suggested I change the way I blog and try to do more “how to” posts. I didn’t realize when I started just how hard it could be and, at the same time, rewarding.

There’s lots out there to write about. I have ideas. You have ideas. If there’s something you’d like me to address, tell me about it. My daughter has sent me ideas (and one, at least, could take days and days to research and write). I’ll do my best to turn this into a blog of substance while still maintaining the personal touch.

I’ve turned a corner. I’m looking into an exciting future of more raw food and a better blog!

    Greetings Ms. Awesome!
I’ll be looking forward to your new format. I’ve read your blog for a while now but I thought the last 2 entries were very informative….since I am trying to absorb all the raw information I can. Thank you!

Thanks, Dee! I know you! You’re the one with the coconut! Did you actually mix that lovely water with vodka??

Wish me luck. It’s going to take a lot more effort to write on topics rather than my run-of-the-mill day-by-day postings.

Tommie, I’ll miss your daily blog, but I think you’ve made a wise decision. Hope you are about fully recovered by now. I’m like you – I didn’t take medicine either, in spite of the fact that my son wanted me to, but I did take a little extra vitamin C.

LOL – no I did not! I used it in my breakfast smoothie – quite yummy!
I was eyeing the young coconuts up at the store again but I really need to get the proper killing tools before I buy more – way to dangerous without them! Have a great day!

Good for you! Yes, you do need the right equipment to kill young coconuts. You have a good day, too, Dee!
