I feel like I’m coming off a three day drunk.

And I have never been on a three day drunk. I was in bed by 10:10 which blew my getting-to-bed-by-10 goal. Even if I fudged and used the deadline of 10:07. I guess I’d let the stress of the past couple days get to me. I couldn’t sleep. I’d almost get there and my mind would start whirling again. Sometime after midnight, I got up and got online. I spent the next couple hours alternating between watching CNN and saving posts on my blog. At 2:30, I was able to go back to bed and back to sleep. I got up at what I thought was 4-something to go to the bathroom. On the way back, I squinted at the clock and was dismayed to discover it was already after 6. I stayed up, exercised for 15 minutes, and my fat intake was in line with my goal. So…two goals met and one blown out of the water. My not getting enough sleep has made me feel below par all day.

Day 19 Raw Food

20 ozzies OJ
30 ozzies banana/blueberry/spinach smoothie
3 tangerines
3″ English cucumber
34 ozzies banana/red leaf lettuce smoothie
Large salad of bagged greens, tomato, cucumber, onion, dressed with lime juice, agave nectar, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder
Mashed avocado (the other half), tomato, onion, lime juice, taco seasoning, garlic powder, and kelp noodles

Today was the first of five Fridays this month we can wear blue jeans to work. It was nice to be comfortable.

I DIDN’T go to the bank and post office. Seems like plans don’t even pan out. I spent part of the day reviewing and revising policies and procedures. Sometimes, that can be a real snooze. It has to be done every three years (though this is about two and a half) so this will be my last hurrah.

I felt a little better after I ate my tangerines. It got super busy around lunch time and I was unable to fix my smoothie. I finally got to it after 3 CST which would be 4 at home.

One of the registrars wasn’t feeling well and asked to go home. None of them would fake anything to get out of work, let alone this one. She had to be sick for sure.

When I left the hospital, I went to the church and turned up the heat. That’s when I remembered I’d left the Mock Salmon Pate in the fridge at work. After a set number of days, things get pitched and I didn’t want to lose my container. I swung back by and got it. Since I was on the opposite side of town from home, I went to the store and got two bags of salad (I’m feeling lazy) and a few other things.

I’d been home long enough to eat my salad and was getting ready to put the noodles in the avocado mixture when I was alerted by an incoming message. It was the registrar letting me know she was feeling so bad she couldn’t work tomorrow as scheduled. I spent the next 45 minutes making phone calls to get the day covered. Two of the others will split the shift. I have a good staff.

It was really too late to eat when I was able to return to the scene of the sort of guacamole but I mixed it up and ate it anyway. And now I’m going to hit the hay soon as I possibly can. I visited my friend a couple of times today and she’s planning to call someone to pick her up for church. That’s something I won’t have to think about. She doesn’t like going as early as I have to, anyhow. I’ll be able to sleep a little longer and I’m sure I’ll have no problem.

Good night and happy Sabbath!
