How to Look Good Naked

Since the BlogHerAds were pushing the show, I decided I shouldn’t allow anything on my blog that was an unknown quantity. I recorded a couple of episodes after hours (I rarely watch any show when it’s on) and watched one last night and the other this morning. Despite its racy title, it is really quite tame. True, I saw women in their underwear but they weren’t raunchily displayed. Carson Kressley is cute in a homely sort of way and could be a girl’s best friend. The only problem I had with it is that every one of the women had a tiny waist relative to mine. Maybe I could go on there and they could magically transform me into a beautiful, sexy woman? There was one 62 year old. That would make her my contemporary. Even when they are photographed “naked”, they aren’t naked. They are draped with gorgeous fabric that conceals more than most dresses do. So…the ads for How to Look Good Naked stay. That isn’t true for Boca Burgers, though. Sorry. They don’t go well with a raw food blog. I updated my profile to exclude them but someone isn’t paying attention so I e-mailed my contact tonight. If I won’t eat them, I won’t allow ads for them, either.

It has been cold cold cold. After I’d failed to plug in the waterbed heater yesterday morning and it heated for a total of 5.5 hours, it wasn’t too comfortable. I warmed one spot and I had to stay there or warm another. If I got up to go to the bathroom, I carefully covered it up and made sure I was in that selfsame place when I got back in. Not my most restful night. I had a throw on top of my mother’s comforter over the comforter that’s always on the bed plus I wore my booties. I was warm but unable to move. When I woke, the temperature in the bedroom was 44º F and outside was 5.7. It got up to 26 in the sun and is presently 12. As my mother would say, “BOOSH!”

Report time! I was in bed last night at 10 according to the clock by the bed and 10:01 on the clock across the room. This morning, I put in more than an hour exercising including a 58 second pushup. My overt fat consisted of half a small avocado. All goals met or exceeded.

Day Seven Raw Food

36 ozzies grapefruit juice
3 Hachiya Hichaya persimmons (one was on the astringent side)
Kim chee
2 Bubbies pickles
28 ozzies banana/romaine smoothie
Kim chee
A Lady Alice organic apple
Kelp Noodle Salad

I spent some time on housecleaning chores and the bokashi bucket. In between, my DD called for our weekly chat which, today, lasted more than an hour. She’s been working on the redesign of the blog and has sent me some links about other things to look at. It takes forever to pull them up so I haven’t perused them yet.

Since I’m tired to complete exhaustion of being on dialup, I have been seriously considering getting satellite. A lot of my day was taken up with comparing HughesNet with Wild Blue. The conclusion of the matter is that neither one is worth the steep pricetag and I’ll stay with what I have for now. They both require a contract of either 18 or 24 months and will cut you down to 56k if you exceed their download limits. I’d hate to be locked into a contract with either one and have AT&T pop up with DSL availability. I had merm look at the plans and he said he couldn’t see the practicality of either one.

Speaking of merm, he upgraded WordPress! He’s a good son-in-law. I like him. I think I’ll keep him. I’m glad my daughter made him part of the family.

The time has come to say adieu to you and you and you. Good night!

when you use cashew dressing, is that the cashew mayo in your recipe section?

This time it was. Sometimes I use Matt’s Dip as a dressing. Sometimes it’s just cashews, lemon, sea salt and water.
