Blood! Blood everywhere!

I scanned and uploaded the results of my blood work from 12/28/07. My doctor hasn’t commented on it yet. Since there were so many differing opinions on it last time, I’ll wait until my consult to see if I’m going to live awhile longer. The postings are for the curious who have the opinion that eating raw has got to be, somehow, deficient in nutrients when that’s actually true of cooked.

Last night, there was some contemplation of whether I would try to go to church or not. I’d thought about calling the other organist but decided I’d wait until today and see how I felt. Before I went to bed, I soaked in the tub. I woke in the middle of the night with a stuffy nose. I blew it and wished I hadn’t. My neighbors have a stove that blesses me with smoke in my bedroom if the wind isn’t blowing it the other way. It’s most irritating to my nose, throat, and lungs. Even if I have my window closed (and I like to have it open a little bit even in the coldest weather) it filters in. I finally covered up my head, breathed and re-breathed the air, and went back to sleep when I wasn’t busy coughing. Upshot was, I waited until after 8 am and called to say sorry, I wouldn’t be at church.

Sabbath Raw Food

36 ozzies grapefruit juice
34 ozzies banana/mango/agave smoothie (not delicious but filling)
Kim chee
2 Bubbies Pickles
Kelp noodles with Magic Tomato Sauce
3 cups garlic lemonade

This afternoon, I found myself dozing off. I did something very much out of character any more and took a nap. It’s a standing joke in SDA circles that people go home from church, eat a big meal, and either “go to the springs” or “participate in lay activities”. I used to do that regularly but, since I’ve been eating raw, I don’t get sleepy in the daytime as a general rule. I have no idea how long I slept. I won’t have any trouble going to sleep once I get to bed provided I don’t spend my time coughing. Again.

The kelp noodles with Magic Tomato Sauce is pictured on my kelp noodles page. Nuff said.

I was planning to have a salad but never got a round tuit. I’ll have to do better tomorrow. I was even going to make some cashew dressing to go on it. I’d taken the last of my really raw cashews to my son’s and forgot to bring them back but the ones I’d ordered were at the hospital when I went back to work last Wednesday. I’m set for awhile.

The hour grows later and later. I was going to be in bed by 9 tonight but it’s an hour past that. I need some sun. That isn’t possible now but maybe tomorrow? I’m not able to get a WeatherBug location closer than about 30 miles away but it shows temperatures in the low 60s and, on Monday, it may get into the 70s. Strange for January but I do need some rays.

Good night

So sorry that you’re under the weather and hope you’re better soon. You should be Tommie as you eat so healthy. Anyhow, enjoy the afternoon nap and be kind to yourself. Hugs

Thanks Annie! I’m on the mend but not even close to 100%.
