It rained! and rained! and rained some more!

I didn’t see it actively raining but it did sometime to leave 2.75″ in the rain gauge. It was a steady gentle rain all night last night. Maybe it did it while I was at work. I don’t know. The nice thing is, it rained.

Today was a work day. I had to get up whether I wanted to or not. Since I’d invested in kim chee ingredients, I had to get them underway. When that was done, I had time to do my LSEs and standing routine.

100% Raw Food

21 ozzies grapefruit juice (yummy!)
30 ozzies banana/blueberry/organic spinach smoothie (one of the best I’ve ever made)
36 ozzies banana/romaine smoothie
Kim chee
1 Bubbies pickle
3 persimmons (big ‘uns)
4 tomatoes, 1 cucumber, 1 avocado all cut up in a bowl

I’d forgotten I was supposed to be the post office/bank person. Everything was busy and crazy in the office. It kept everyone hopping. The phone was ringing off the hook and it took all four of us to answer it sometimes. If I were a magician, I would have the new phone system installed tonight. At almost 10, I broke away and went to town. No one had been to the post office since last Wednesday so there was a LOT of mail. I had to haul it out to the car, bring it back, haul it into the hospital, and put it up. It took a good long while.

I gave the woman at the post office one of Dario’s inserts about persimmons. When I went back for another tray of mail, she was reading it and was very intrigued. She figures her daughter would like persimmons because she likes fruit. I’m sure she would. Maybe she’ll order some and find out. I’ve e-mailed Dario asking how much longer they’ll be available.

I’d fixed the tomatoes and cucumbers to take to work and forgot them. Just as well. The persimmons got into the bag but never into my stomach. It took forever to drink my lunch smoothie, like up until maybe half an hour before I left for the day. I’ll take a lunch break tomorrow.

The day flew by (they always do when they are as busy as today was) and it was time to leave before I knew it. I had to let some things wait for tomorrow so I could get out when I was supposed to.

Tangent time…My daughter and I were talking about my blog yesterday and I said it and the forum keep me from straying because they make me accountable. She took it that I meant I would eat cooked otherwise. I’ve been thinking and that’s not it at all. Tonight, I’ve been tempted to get into the marinated mushrooms or eat more persimmons and I know I shouldn’t. I won’t because I’d have to report it. Well, I wouldn’t have to but I would because not doing it would be dishonest. And this blog is about honesty. At least most of the time. 😯

The rest of the preparation for the kim chee took so long I forgot about washing greens for tomorrow. They’re in the fridge waiting for morning.

I’m going to be old and wrinkled because my beauty sleep is being drastically cut tonight. Better get what I can while I can. Good night!
