The rain gauge had 1″ of rainwater this morning!

Praise the Lord! One of the employees at the Mother Ship said it “came down in buckets” there. I drained the water off my planter of mint before I went to work.

I was up a few minutes after 5:30. I would have liked to go back to sleep but I knew it was a lost cause when I was awake that close to the alarm going off. I did all of my exercises except for my NT and HR. I’m embarrassed to say how puny my pushup was.

100% Raw Food–I hope

16 ozzies GOOD OJ (3 oranges)
30 ozzies banana/mixed berries/spinach smoothie
28 ozzies banana/romaine smoothie
4 tomatoes and 2 pickling cucumbers
4 persimmons
Marinated mushrooms
1 Bubbies pickle
Salad of romaine, red leaf, tomato, cucumber, avocado, dressed with lime juice/EVOO dressing

I was thawing the berries and got them a little warmer than I should. I didn’t take their temperature but I’m sure they were close to not being raw any more. I’ll confess I used them anyway.

Yesterday, I got an e-mail about Bubbies Pickles. Here it is:

Hello Tommie;

Thank you very much for writing in, we are always pleased to hear from one of our customers and we would be more than happy to tell you about our products.

Bubbies Pure Kosher Dills are 100% Raw! We hope you’ll enjoy them soon.

Cheers,

I e-mailed back to find out which of their other products are raw (I found out today that the dill relish is, too) and said they should incorporate that information in their descriptions. I’m sure it would increase their sales if they did.

It was cold Cold! here today. One of the people from the hospital was some 30 miles north this morning and saw snow flurries. The temperature was in the 70s yesterday and didn’t make it out of the 40s today. The wind was whipping the trees and made it feel like it was blowing off an iceberg. Right now, it’s 29 in the valley and 32 at home.

Part of my current persimmon order came today. I hope the others come tomorrow. I’d hate for them to languish in the post office over the weekend. I think I’ll have the next order come to the house. I ordered Twinkle’s food today and am having it delivered here. It always comes in on Friday and I’ll be off work.

There is one plus from the little rain we’ve gotten along with the cooler weather. We are finally having the fall colors we should have had in October. When I left work this afternoon, the sun was hitting some brilliant red-leafed trees across the parking lot. It was breathtaking. Driving up and down the mountain road is beautiful with the reds and yellows. There are some brown leaves, too, but they are less noticeable now.

It’s past my bedtime. I was in bed just about this time last night. I’d better wind this up and say good night!

you have a lot of control for eating only one pickle!

it’s getting cold here in michigan too. the weather took a bit of a turn compared to the past few days.

    stay warm!

Sandy, it’s called “hoarding”. I only know of one place that sells them that’s within driving distance. I get there once in a blue moon so when I eat that last pickle in the jar, I have no idea when there will be more.

I can imagine it’s cold there! I visited my sister 40+ years ago in the dead of winter when she lived on the Upper Peninsula. Talk about cold and snow! My son and his family are planning to head for Indiana for Thanksgiving and I’m wondering what kind of weather they’ll run into.
